The most enjoyable meal on all counts I've had in Marrakech. It's tucked away off the street , and entering it is a lovely experience as it's warm and bright and colorful. Up the steep stairs and we were seated in the balcony overlooking the first floor , and entertained by the adorable birds who are resident there. The menu is simple and compelling. I was not too hungry so I limited myself to the harira soup (very good) and the chicken tagline, lemon chicken (really outstanding -- the best meat I've had yet, the lemon was completely infused in the chicken) and the desserts were perfect. I try not to order the dessert but I'm glad I did, they were perfect. We were served with grace, humor and precision by Badr. It was a wonderful experience , and the value was excellent, we spent about 120 MAD per person, so it was certainly the best value . The only sour note is the captain, she seems like she hates her job and is a real downer in an upbeat place, make you...

Mrouzia kind of appeals more to my taste, because of its sweetness associated with meat, yet I really loved the flavours of tanjia. I'll probably have to repeat the experience to decide.
Excellent service, the waiter was impeccable: very polite, helpful, friendly. I was utterly surprised by the fact that - after asking him at some point during our meal about the way they prepare the olives they serve for appetizers - when the bill came, he also passed me the recipe, nicely written by the chef on a piece of paper. A tiny piece of paper that actually spells two very important things: caring for customers and...
Read moreThis is a quaint little restaurant in the Medina ( old town ) of Marrakech. We ordered a beef Tajine and a pigeon Pastilla. Both were excellent. The beef was tender and the veg tasty and cooked well. The pastilla was extremely tasty and flaky pastry dough stuffed with almonds and mildly sweetened spices , dusted on top with cinnamon . The dessert we ordered was flan, we finished the meal with a “ th^e a la menth”. A very satisfying meal indeed. Our server Badr was attentive and courteous and poured our mint tea with one hand behind his back and from a respectable height : “ bissahah”!
Would definitely recommend this restaurant in Marrakech Medina if you are visiting the city . We had a reservation but I understand that they welcome walk ins if...
