I take time to write reviews when service offered are below expectations or reviews doesn’t go with reality. In this restaurant food quality was okay compared to other places we had been, But price was bit competitive for the Marrakesh. Service is good. Too many reviews in the google. But restaurant cashier/owner was crazy. He said he will accept GBP/Euro instead of Morrocan dhiram. I paid in GBP since we are GB and he converted in his own terms and return change in MAD. I asked him to explain conversion factor. He started shouting. After leaving the restaurant, I realised he has nicked few pounds which is much more in MAD with his incorrect conversion and less change he returned. Suggestion is pls don’t pay them in other currency and lose money and food quality not so great as their reviews. Try for food in some residential areas where we get authentic Tajin for local price not tourist price. We had Tajin for 30 MAD in a few residential areas and Moroccan tea for 5 MAD. Don’t fall for fake reviews in tourist places though...
Read moreThis is my first comment in map. This is the best restaurant I have had in Marrakech in 7 days and the taste is different from the others, so I am impressed! I remember we sit next to a very large family, and the owner was worried about the noise and asked if we needed to change seats. Although we refused, we were touched by such a service attitude ☺️. They gave us cookies, and we remembered the restaurant. For the last meal of our last day in Marrakech, we decided to come to this restaurant again because its tastes was really good! The owner recognized us and was very happy. He told us that he would give us a big surprise later! So he brought us a big special snack, and I was really, really happy. Before, my friend asked me how I would give score for Marrakech and I told her 80. When I saw the surprise, I thought Marrakech deserved 90. I really like the owner, he is a very nice person and it is very...
Read moreFOOD POISONING - we ate here for lunch this week and less than an hour later, both of us had to run to the toilet, where we spent the better part of the day and night.
Preempting the usual comments: Yes it was this place that gave us food poisoning, we did not have any street food, juices or anything else that day. Location and name of the place are also correct. We had the chicken skewers, and a mergueze couscous. We both didn't finish our dishes as they were not very tasty and somehow felt a little off...
Regardless of the food poisoning, the food was not very good, so I can't really recommend this place to anyone. You might have already figured out that most Google maps ratings in Morocco are suspiciously high, so don't get fooled.
Edit1: Unfortunately I am struggling a bit to understand the owner's answer. We definitely ate here for lunch and got served a bad plate of food (in every sense...
