laÔ Marrakech — Restaurant in Marrakesh Prefecture

I honestly don’t know where to begin with how awful my experience was at this restaurant. The penne and dessert weren’t bad, but everything else was a disaster. The tagliatelle was an insult to Italian cuisine — it tasted like a sad, overcooked school lunch, drenched in bland tomato paste. If that's what they call "fine dining," I’d rather eat a frozen meal.

To make matters worse, the service was a complete joke. I’ve never been treated with such utter disregard in my life. The servers didn’t even try to engage in a normal conversation or show any basic courtesy. Every time we asked a question, they just mindlessly pushed the most expensive items on the menu without giving any real explanations, like they were more concerned with getting a bigger tip than actually providing good service.

And then there’s the glaring issue of how they hovered over us the entire time. Instead of leaving us to enjoy our meal, the staff stood there staring, making us feel incredibly uncomfortable and completely ruining what should have been a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Honestly, I’d rather have eaten in a fast-food joint than deal with that level of unprofessionalism.

The cherry on top of this nightmare? When we went to pay, the server literally threw the receipt on our table as though it were an inconvenience to them. This place is a joke, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Avoid at all costs if you value your time, money,...

Our evening at LAÔ in Marrakech was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with stunning views and beautifully crafted décor that made every detail feel special.

The service was absolutely spectacular—everyone served with a smile, and the staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional and arrived very quickly. We enjoyed delicious sushi, a flavorful shrimp cocktail, and an excellent beef carpaccio, all prepared to perfection.

To top it all off, there was a live singer who created a wonderfully romantic and fun ambiance that truly elevated the entire experience. We had made a reservation in advance, which we highly recommend as this spot is well worth the visit.

WOW! It's the only word that fits my feeling of this place.

You start with an glass elevator that takes you to the top floor, and are then greeted by the wonderful hostess. We came 30 min early and were seated right away (already there the got high marks from me). I then explained that it was my fiancee birthday, and 10 min after got one of the best tables next to the window.

Starters were oysters and seabas ceviche, which were 10/10, amazing.

Main course was steak, again 10/10.

When the brought the desert, they sang happy birthday to my fiance!!!! I was extremely happy with everything, that I would recommend visiting Marrakech, only to eat here.

Karima and Rzigi were our servers, and they deserve a 20 out of 10 rating, because they were exceptional ❤❤❤
