La Brace is that special place you find. I wish that we lived here, as it would become a regular for us. They do the usual Moroccan classic dishes with a special twist but also Italian dishes authentically executed by Marco such as carpaccio and escalope Milanese, which are truly delicious. The staff are a delight, the restaurant intimate with perhaps a dozen covers on each of the two upper floors which are accessed by a tight, steep winding staircase. Do not be alarmed - there are cleverly placed handles exactly where they are needed and I made it to the top easily (I'm 82). Read moreWe really enjoyed our dinner in this treehouse of a restaurant. It is a 3 storey building with tables on the upper 2 floors, the top one being a roof terrace. It’s quite small, cosy and quirky with very steep wooden stairs. The menu has lots of choice: some Italian dishes like the trio of bruschetta, chicken Milanese and tiramisu (no pasta/pizza when we visited), Moroccan tagines plus burgers and salads. We shared the beautifully presented bruschetta followed by a very substantial, super tasty Caesar salad for me and handmade burger for my husband. We both had tiramisu to finish. It’s probably one of the smallest restaurants I’ve ever eaten in - but the layout is excellent - they’ve literally made the most of every inch they have! / the top floor has nice al fresco dining which overlooks a street full of hustle and bustle and everyday life.
On to the food / the menu provides a well balanced selction - we opted for the Tangine Chicken and Chicken Kebab and both were outstanding! - 10/10
