The Ben Salah Mosque in Marrakesh is a historic landmark known for its unique architecture and cultural significance. Unfortunately, due to the recent earthquake in Morocco, the structure has been weakened, and scaffolding now supports most parts of the building to prevent further damage. Despite this, the mosque remains an important site for visitors, offering insight into traditional Moroccan design. The current restoration efforts highlight the community’s dedication to preserving this architectural gem for future generations.

We did not visit the mosque itself, only could see it from a nearby restaurant - the Cafe-Snack Ben Masouri - where we stopped while strolling the narrow streets of old medina in Marrakech. There was a great view of the mosque tower from the restaurant rooftop (where we enjoyed our lunch) on that beautiful sunny day in February.

The Ben Salah mosquito is a marinade-style mosquito located at 14 o'clock in the village of Marrakech, in Morocco. This monument is a survivor of the marinade period in Marrakech and is next to its home. The details of the construction of the mosque do not enter the clairs. One of the inscriptions on the mosquée indicates that the construction of the minaret on a commencé on August 1321. According to the history of Ibn al-Mu'timar al-Marrakchi, the construction of the mosquée on commencé between the years 1318 and 1319, this time. Signifie that the mosquée was created by the Sultan’s marinade Abu Said Othman bin Yaqub (during the year 1310 and 1331), which was created by the schools in the Fès (comme Madrasa El-Attarin).

It is probable that the mosquée entered the savant name local name Muhammed bin Salah (or Ibn Saleh) that the savant dont the tomb is located before the mosquée. There are sources that say that Muhammad bin Salah is a normal person who travels like this in the village's magazines, and can use a renommer to call the mosque...
