Reservations at Muzealna are highly recommended and rightfully so! Muzealna is located inside the National Museum in Warsaw (enter main museum entrance and follow the signs down the stairs). Thee u consists of fresh seasonal menu, which is why the menu has a few cold starter options as well as a few warm ones along with main courses and desserts. More specifics about the food: Cold starter: Chanterelle mushrooms were in season and amongst the recommended dishes. The waiter suggested beef tartare from the cold starters menu. It comes with roasted corn, pickled chanterelles, creamy egg yolk and dill pickle. Beautifully presented with flower petal on top. The contrast of the smooth tartare with the crunchy corn kernels added a new twist to a classic dish. The mayonnaise added a bit of a citrusy twist. Served with homemade bread that was perfect for dipping in the egg yolk on the plate. The pickled chanterelles were mixed with the pickled dill and created a relish of sorts that added a little sweetness. Definitely not your average beef tartare. Great choice! Warm starter: Breaded young carrots looked almost like long French fries yet were nice and crunchy served on a bed of green pea purée with green peas adorned on top, dill pickle rounds and a little drizzle of mayonnaise with slightly crunchy parsley. Quickly fried. Wow, nice, mild. Main: large slice of cabbage that had been sous vided served on mound of white bean hummus and topped with lots of fresh greens and purple potato chips. Excellent source of vitamins full of flavor. So much more satisfying than any dessert would have been. Thoroughly satisfied....

A decent place to grab lunch during the week! We initially decided to try out this Michelin Guide restaurant as it’s a sister restaurant of one of my favorite spots (alewino) but it unfortunately didn’t impress as much. Overall the restaurant is quite nice, watch out as it is located inside the National Museum, took us some time to find it at first. The ambience is quite chill, nothing too fancy but still tasteful. The service has left us wishing for more even after multiple visits, when entering the restaurant we waited for 5-10 minutes to be seated even though the place was half empty, none of the wait staff approached us so both times we had to try to catch someone at the cash register across the other side and ask to be seated (even though the sign upon entry says to wait to be seated, the staff was just standing there, without orders, and still avoiding eye contact). The food is generally good - i would say a hit or a miss depending on the dish, no in between. However, for the 50zl 3 course lunch menu, it’s a steal as you can really see high quality ingredients and high effort prep from the kitchens side. I love that the menu changes every week so you’re able to try different dishes. From the not so positive side, the bathrooms seem to be common with the museum itself so there’s usually a line and the coat rack is located before entering the restaurant so it feels a bit “unsafe” to leave your things. We haven’t tried the evening menu as of yet but I can definitely recommend to try...

We went to Muzealna for my partner's birthday. We had read great things about the place... and indeed, it lived up to the praise. We dined outside on the terrace, as it wasn’t crowded and the weather was warm. It was a very quiet spot with just the right amount of shade.

The menu is short and offers numerous vegan and vegetarian options. We started with the asparagus pierogi and beef tartare. My partner had a delicious homemade orange and rosemary lemonade, while I enjoyed a glass of Czech orange wine (also very nice).

For the main course, we ordered the pork cheeks with mashed potatoes and spinach, and the trout with dill gnocchi. Both dishes were incredibly fresh and full of flavor. The pork cheeks came with a rich gravy, and the trout was served with a fragrant herb reduction. Everything was perfectly seasoned and plated.

I had mentioned that it was my partner’s birthday, and they kindly added a candle to one of their delicious desserts (a puff pastry with a custard cream filling).

We also added a bottle of local carbonated water and two perfectly served cups of coffee (one ristretto and one espresso). It’s not often that you can actually see the difference between the two when ordering, but here you could.

We chatted a bit with the waiter and jokingly told him that if they ever wanted a Michelin star, they’d need to halve the portions and...

What is really impacting for me is service. We entered the place and nobody welcomed us. We went through the whole restaurant to ask for a table otherwise we would have been ignored still. Also, I will not repeat how good the food was, but waiting time is a bit too long in my opinion (25 minutes to receive appetizers). In addition I have to say that waiters barely look at you and I needed to wait like 10 minutes to just ask for some additional bread while one of the waitresses was talking with some guests for an infinite time at the table next to us. Meanwhile the other waiters were also busy, which I understand of course, but it is a good habit to also look at tables and check if diners need something. In conclusion my rating could not be more than 3 stars as the service is really poor but food is really great and well presented (special mention for the stuffed fowl and the slow cooked cheeks).
