I found this place appealing, located not far from the National Museum, and decided to stop by for lunch. My first impression – it’s more of a café than a full-fledged restaurant. The tables are very small, more suitable for one person. Cleanliness leaves much to be desired – it was quite messy in some areas, with crumbs on the floor. There were also a lot of annoying flies inside, though they might not be around in the winter. Most people here seem to order drinks, as I mentioned earlier. Prices are reasonable, mid-range, but the taste of the food didn’t impress me personally. It was rather mediocre. Even the chicken broth didn’t taste good to me. On top of that, their menu is only available via a QR code, which opens as a PDF file – something that’s not convenient to read on a phone. What’s even more confusing is that their official website has a regular, easy-to-read menu, not a PDF file. I didn’t understand the logic behind this. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend this place for lunch. However, it could be a decent...
Read moreThe only good thing is service. Waitresses are quick and friendly. But that’s it. The place itself is cheaply decorated, the acoustics is so horrible, all the sounds just accumulate and make it feel like your head is going to explode, can’t hear my neighbour. And it wasn’t even crowded. We ordered croque madame and croque monsieur, both were soaking in fat and way too grilled, couldn’t finish it. And oh, they charge extra for an egg on top of it. Someone should tell the cooking person that croque madame comes with an egg ALWAYS. Salad was bitter and lemonade was so sour i took just one sip. As to cleanliness - tables were cleaned regularly but the floor and chairs were covered in bits of croissants etc. Oh and I ordered wine which i did not get. And finally - they take out the trash bin through the dining area in fron of customers. You try to enjoy your food and here goes the trash in front of your nose. And i mean it - in front. Closer than half a...

I would have once give a recommendation for Charlotte, for anyone who is looking to have a special breakfast, but not anymore.
There are several noticeable ways in which Charlotte has changed, unfortunately for the worst. Here are some of them: you have to remind the staff to provide you with anything like salt or tissues; food is served with long delays for some of the guests when in a group (I was in a group of 5 and there was a 20 minute delay between the first person being served and the second one); their 'chocolate spread' is actually Polish Kajmak with a little bit of cocoa; the staff is quite rude; provided meals have shrunk over the last 3 years; not only is it loud due to people talking but the music is too loud; the menu's have switched to QR codes which prevented my granny from easily accessing the course selection; and lastly - this place is experiencing a lot of wasps...
