Sorella's was once a charming establishment, ideal for breakfast or lunch, characterized by amiable staff and exceptional cuisine. Regrettably, it appears that such attributes have dissipated. The current manager, seemingly harboring a rather vexatious disposition, does not exemplify the qualities one would expect from a leader in the hospitality sector. Consequently, the food has become insipid and uninspired. Iconic dishes, such as the chicken livers, have inexplicably vanished from the menu, and the eggs benedict now presents more as a shadow of its former self, aptly dubbed "eggs wannabe benedict."

It is truly disheartening to witness this once-bright gem lose its luster. For several years, Sorella's was our preferred destination in Swakopmund during our annual holiday. This sentiment is echoed by our local family and friends, who likewise lament the establishment's decline. It is a pity to acknowledge that Sorella’s has indeed lost its sparkle, a fate that appears to stem more from a lack of effective leadership than from the commitment of the waiting staff, who undoubtedly strive to provide service under challenging...

Finally, a place that understands “gluten free” doesn’t mean just serving eggs without the toast and calling it a day. Real options at breakfast, like actual crepes and more, yes, you read that right. Crepes. Without gluten. In Namibia. Miracles do happen.

The coffee? Surprisingly good. And coming from a spoiled Italian, that’s saying something. Plenty of varieties too, so whether you’re a flat white loyalist or a double shot minimalist, you’ll be just fine.

The cakes on display looked dangerously tempting, and the whole place has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer… maybe just long enough to order another slice.
