Sam’s One Tree Café Sam’s One Tree Café really do has a single giant tree of banyan which is around 45 years old. Almost the complete area of café lies under the tree. The wall too has the art of tree, birds, monkeys, and so on. On the white wall that black painting looks so well. The waiter said that the tree was grown in a pot by the owner around 45 years ago. Since then the tree is growing well and so is the owner of this café. He is earning well with the growth of this tree. Speciality: The café has two categories of staff. One is with a white outfit, who will take your orders and give you any other information. The another one is with a black outfit. These are differently abled people, who are deaf and dumb. This category will serve your orders, collect the empty plates, clean the tables, fetch your bill, and will always bear a beautiful smile on their face. They perform their duty so well with signs that nobody would ever face any sort of problem with their service. Despite of the beautiful location and ambience. The staff Mr. Baskota I dont know his position. we tried to speak with the owner after having few moments of discussion. But nobody took initation to forward the issue. This happened. We were there for a good family dinner around 8pm. We asked what is the best they have, he aasured us with few menu items. One was pork rib i guess. All the dish came. We had a bite of pork rib and it was not cooked frozen. We told him the issue return the dish and asked him casually do we get discount because what u suggested was the worst. He sayed in a furious way we already told sorry there is nth we can do. So this is how we had a discussion for our right. Well its not an issue bit for a top notch restaurant this is a big issue from my perspective . Located in the very hyped zone of ktm,it is one of the best places for good foods and dining and other purposes like get togethers and treats. Named as it is ,there's one tree at the center giving a pleasant feeling. Foods are served nicely and quite fast serving may surprise you. And yes one will be satisfied with the quality of food. Every kind of drinks are available and great cocktails. Yes, every kind you know of. At the entrance one will get to see few crafts on display (and may be for sale as well I am not sure of). As odd as it may feel initially but quite innovative ,the waiters here use sign language to take orders. But not to worry there are other staffs as well. Nice old pictures, Few separate room for gathering are other good features. The place is neat and quite with soothing musical environment. My opinion is its a good place for family, friends get together. If you are searching for a unique place in Ktm this is one good place you should give a try, you will love it.
