Filthy place which i have stupidly frequented multiple times. Twice today alone. Food is extremely salty for everything I had ordered ever, at this place. Only nice thing here is the real fresh potato fries. This is the only reason I kept coming back. With no salt they are very nice. Place is so filthy though, and tables not cleaned. I sat earlier and as per usual all tables had lots of ants crawling on them. When I wiped table tissues were black and dusty. I visited just now and sat at the same table. It had not been cleaned from all those hours ago. But. I won't be coming back because running around next to my chair came out several three inch plus cockroaches. They ran back in the wall which is the kitchen area. I have not been sick since all the times I ate here, but I don't want to push my luck. Unfriendly staff, and the very large indianische looking woman owner does nothing but sit there making too much noise on phone telling everyone what to do. Tried to get the roaches on shot. They ran away fast as I got the tablet up. Only managed to get pics of what looks like vomit on the floor of the seat next to mine, which i only noticed whilst trying to get roach pictures Also don't complain about the food. Cook here makes everything excessively salty. If complaining, waiter will argue, scowl and answer back. In Nepal the customer is...
Read moreLovely place to seat and stare at the peaceful lake, read a book or chat! They have WiFi, which sets this as a good place to work away on the computer if you need. Food is not the strongest suit here, but still worth it to go. With a relaxed vibe, this coffee shop offers local and western food options at fair prices, or better, must say really cheap considering your seating right in front of the lake. The staff is friendly and respectful. It is cozy even for rainy afternoons by the lake. We had a small pot of milk tea for NPR80. Egg chow mein (ordered egg fried instead of mixed in the chow mein) NPR130. Dal Bhat is NPR180 and hummus with chapati NPR200, but found both not as tasty. Downside is that at lunch the kitchen has big difficult to deliver all the orders. Therefore momos (veg NPR100) are not available, were when he had them - of course there freshly made and takes longer, you must choose more simple quick options. Enjoy a stroll along the lake and then relax at...
Read moreProbably one of the best vegetarian and vegan cafes in Pokhara! I highly recommend this cafe! 💖
We were welcomed by such friendly and accommodating staff that were very knowledgable of the menu.
Most vegetarian and vegan restaurants around here have pretty steep prices, but we were very happy to see a menu with prices as friendly as their staff. We were even moreso happy to eat our food which was very delicious!
The food was paired perfectly with cozy ambience; with a gorgeous view of the lake, soothing traditional music, and a beautiful willow tree standing elegantly just across our table.
This humble cafe and bar also seemed to be generous with outlets so if you wanted to find a quiet, peaceful, and beautiful place to work for an hour or two, I think this is the best place to do it.
We are definitely coming back to...
