Back in 2019 my wife and I visited Pokhara after 7 years hiatus and went for our early morning walk along lakeside the morning after our arrival. As we got closer to the north end of the walk, we began to smell the amazing aromas from the bakery. We told ourself we had to find this place and ventured towards the main road past some sleepy little restaurants where people we still cleaning up from party last night. When we walked in the lady at the shop was busy getting the baked goods out from the bakery to the shop. We ordered a cup of tea and a whole bunch of goodies and got talking and we found out that the roots of this bakery is the Herman bakery in Jhamsikhel near St. Mary’s school in Lalitpur where both my wife and I grew up. Her chocolate croissants, cinnamon rolls sweethearts and the cucumber tasted just like the ones we knew growing up. The owners were trained by the owners went to Germany to get trained but these folks have kept that original receptors and have mastered it. We so loved this simple but genuinely good spot and their treats we stayed chatting for almost an hour and walked back to our hotel with two bags full of other goodies for our children and remaining family members who were still hanging out in bed. It is June 2022 and we just did or regular Phewa lake morning walk and noticed so much changes around this area just in the last two years but this bakery is still genuinely the same amazing place. They stopped offering tea since Covid. But they still run out of the products each day by 5pm when they close shop. Just speaks of their following. I think getting there early morning to grab and go for breakfast is a true delight. I believe this is one of...
Read moreDiscovered a charming bakery with irresistibly fresh and delicious pastries. The danish and cheese pastry were delightfully warm, signaling they were freshly baked. Additionally, their carrot cake, cheesecake, apple strudel, and cinnamon rolls are all commendable, with the apple strudel standing out as a must-try. The consistent freshness of their offerings makes this bakery a go-to spot for taking home treats to enjoy with family. Highly recommend a visit for a taste of their exceptional...

I had at least half a dozen different items from there (choc croissant, veg pastry, cookies of different types, rolls, mini pizza), and they were all very good, and tasted fresh. I was served by two different people. Both of whom were very polite and friendly. Prices also...
