Silk Road restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Pokhara

I have visited Pokhara many times and I STILL discover amazing new places!!! I'm.so happy I found Silk Road! Located right on the Lakeside path with incredible sunset views..the restaurant also had an beautiful lush garden. It is always incredibly peaceful..a little way away from the louder music venues. The food is always fresh and delicious!! It is my favourite go to for my morning coffee ...a locally grown organic blend that is one of the best Nepali coffees Ive tasted!! It's a beautiful way to start each day in that magic garden overlooking the Lake! The service is incredible and prompt..the menu is delicious...I love the breakfast choices and the fresh salads,! And the staff are the best!! Very welcoming and friendly.The facilities are super clean..and it always had a really chill atmosphere. It ticks all the boxes if you like being in a quiet spot right on the Lake with good food ! Highly...

I will say that breakfast here is very good ,,,,,, however having returned this evening for dinner I can safely say I will not be back. The service was terrible and in 23 years travel in India and Nepal the paneer tikka I ordered was just as awful as it gets. Not just tasteless and dry as sand but the Paneer was as tough as old boots... not fit for consumption. Did not make a fuss, did not eat the food just paid my bill and left. when paying nobody even asked if my meal was good. . . I am in Pokhara for a couple of months but will not go back...

If you are up for a great conversation over delicious food, this is the place. Breathtaking view of the phewa lake, very friendly and helpful owners. We were under-prepared for a trip to Ghandruk village but the owner, Lalit Dai helped us a lot with everything starting from the planning to the booking.
