Just left this place and it was by far the worst "bar" I've ever been to in Amsterdam. Please avoid the tall, skinny male waiter, and his absolutely terrible service. You'll know who I'm speaking of since he wears this cheap, awful chain around his neck. Anyway, my dad politely ordered a burger and after a half hour and no one coming to our table we waved over for him and asked if it would be ready soon. He looked at us with an angry teenage pout and said, "You never ordered a burger" and we said "No worries, we'll take a look at the menu again." After another 15 minutes he finally comes back and by then my dad was filled up by some piss beer and decided he wasn't hungry. But really we both didn't want to wait another half hour for a mediocre burger anyway. So this little punk has the nerve to say, "Oh so now you don't want the burger that you didn't order?" laughing and trying to make fun of us. I almost punched this stupid clown in the face after disrespecting a 60 year old man who clearly ordered a burger in the first place and this little kid was just too cocky to write down an order like a real waiter would. Luckily we got out of there as soon as possible and we will...

2* because the atmosphere. Food experience: cheap ingredients = expensive burger! The burger patties are tasteless no salt no pepper only grilled mincemeat, looks like they bought in the supermarket. Also the Aviko fries.... Guys maybe you should hide the bags or deliver to an other container! I asked medium rare and my burger was almost well done. Do not say “yes we do medium rare” if you can not! The place very nice and the customer service also good. Food needs to be improve a lot for this price!

Answer: For the price maybe you can use better quality of Lettuce (lollo) looks also better. Because you use aged beef it’s very hard to cook medium rare. Buns also need to be improve. If you put pesto and sun dried tomatoes makes the bun soggy and oily. If you seasoned just add a bit more. More salt=More Beers!😉

My problem is I always ask “can you do medium rare, because I love like this “ and 99,9% saying yes and in the end arrive welldone or mediumwell. Do not take this negative take it positive. Thanks...

During our honeymoon, my husband and I visited this restaurant twice. On our first experience, we were blown away by the very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and the overwhelmingly delicious burgers- hence, the 5 starts. We were so impressed during our first visit, that we chose to return a second time. On our second time, however, we had a much different experience. The waiter was completely oblivious to simple things like noticing us at the door. We quickly noticed his shirt was extremely wrinkled - now don’t get me wrong, we are only picking on this because guy didn’t even try to make us feel welcome. We waited about an hour, only to get our appetizers and burgers at the same time. Our burgers were a little on the cold side - the cheeses didn’t even melt. This review is to encourage management to address these issues. If this was our first experience, we could have left a bad review thinking that this is how they operate. I am still giving 5 stars because our first experience was...

Been here twice already once in 2017 and again in 2019, both those experiences were great. You could fully construct your burger from the menu and it felt personal, the service was great. We went last week, super excited, and it fell flat. The menu has completely changed (obvs to be expected 5 years later) but I wouldn’t say it was better. We ordered the Dutch snacks for a starter which was just frozen food (including 2 chicken nuggets). The service really wasn’t great. When we were first seated we weren’t given a menu for about 5-10 minutes and then soon as it was given to us, 5 seconds later a different waitress came to take our order, with no time to read it. Everything felt rushed, when the waitress was taking our order she was doing other things and not fully listening, she stood on my partners foot and also ended up nearly throwing the plate down when it came. It was just a weird vibe and really not the Bar-B we always knew and loved. The burger at least was nice.

I will start by saying that my boyfriend and I love a good burger, so I think we have some standards. I ordered the Bar B Burger and I added 2 extra ingredients to it (pickles and blue cheese) - very good addition, i might say. The burger was delicious. I chose the sweet potato fries as a side, they were a bit too sweet. You can make your own burger, if you like, so my boyfriend designed a burger of his own, something with wagyu, cheddar, pickles, and it was good, but he felt like it kinda needed something spicy in it. The onion rings were good. The service was also good, the waitress was very nice. We sat outside, it was in the afternoon, the only thing we didn't like that much was the fact that our cutlery wasn't better wrapped, considering the whole corona situation. All in all, a very good experience, I would definitely recommend it. As you can see, the food looks delicious, and you will have to trust me that it was.

One of the best burgers I’ve had in my travels. I ordered a beef burger cooked to a perfect medium-well, topped with a standout BBQ sauce that added just the right touch of sweetness. The fries were crispy, lightly salted, and had that satisfying crunch you hope for—paired with a surprisingly good mayo dip. The atmosphere was trendy but casual, with lots of locals enjoying an American classic. Upbeat modern music played throughout, and both staff and patrons were singing along, which gave the place a fun, lively vibe. There was no wait for a table, and although the kitchen seemed backed up, the quality of the food more than made up for the delay. The servers were friendly, attentive, and spoke excellent English. The menu is burger-focused but includes chicken and vegetarian options. My meal—burger, fries, a Heineken, and water—came to €26, which felt fair given the quality and the Southern Canal Belt location.
