We did the travel like a local (or something like that) experience. It really wasn't an enjoyable experience. It was just straight boring, my wife fell asleep. It can be good but I felt like the tour guide really didn't do a good job. He was cool but you more or less had to ask him questions in order to find anything out which is great and all but there is a lot of stuff you may not know to ask. The boat arrived the place one hour later then it should have been. We have to wait more than 1 hour at -3 degree. I called them three times and each time they said that the boat will be there I’m five minutes. In one of the call, they told me that the weather is fine, it is not bad to wait. 1 hour boat ride through the beautiful city of Amsterdam gave me a very good insight into the history of the city. The boat was nice and comfy and I totally forgot I was on water. The mixture of the recorded tapes and the captain's additions made the trip worthwhile. I also loved the subtle humor from both the recordings and the captain.
