UPDATED 20230618 The taro frozen smoothie my fav for the summer! UPDATED 20200819 After my first time I wasnt too pleased that I needed to wait a long time for my drink as an only customer at the time. But I am glad to tell you that this has been resolved. At BIUTEA they have been more efficient on the way of working and I got my drinks really quickly, have been there 8 times now. But will be there for a lot more in the future! The contrast of the drinks looks like art and the quality is the best from all bubbletea newcomers in Amsterdam. Very refreshing Bubble TEAS!! And the drinks looks very beautifull too! Located in a very nice area in Amsterdam "Museumplein". The place inside has a very modern and aesthetic look, the drinks have real fresh fruit in it and the Taro frozen smoothie is amazing! It got real bits of Taro in the drink thats a huge plus! So definitely will be back to try all the other drinks too. I am glad that finally there is a bubble Tea placewho is stepping up their game in, Amsterdam =)

Only one terminal to order which made the order process a bit slow. Preparation was super slow and staff took their time. We waited uncommonly long for a tea that consists of putting different pre-made things together. Manual steps were obviously cutting fruit and shaking the mix with ice (and then draining the ice), as Biu serves their drinks without ice in there. Nevertheless, if the process was faster it would have been cool to watch the staff, what you can easily do among the nice atmosphere that the shop has to offer. Nice seating area inside and outside in the back. Quality of the drink was great! Super tasty, and everything seems to be fresh and on point. Popping boba was surprisingly great, with a light outer shell only. In comparison to other places you get a bang for your buck. Decent portion size and as they do not use ice inside you get larger quantities of actual liquid. Would return but eventually try out another location soon.

Visually, this place is a total win — quirky, clean, and really pleasing to the eye. The decor is lovely and well thought out, and the whole setup feels modern and fresh. That said
I can’t quite put my finger on it, but the atmosphere gave me slightly weird vibes — something about the energy from the staff just felt a bit off. Nothing rude, just
odd. That being said, I can’t fault the drinks — and the matcha crĂšme brĂ»lĂ©e dessert was seriously unique and delicious. A real standout. You order at a self-service kiosk and collect at the till, which gives you time to browse without pressure. The menu is small but curated, which I appreciate — fewer items, more quality, and everything seemed really well done. Definitely worth a stop if you’re nearby. A quality spot
just with a quirky vibe in more ways than one 😂

For the past 18 years, indulging in bubble tea has become nothing short of a necessity. As someone deeply acquainted with its origins, I can assert with confidence that this establishment stands as the paramount destination for bubble tea enthusiasts in Amsterdam, and perhaps even across the entirety of the Netherlands.

Beyond delivering a delightful array of flavors and an extensive selection to cater to diverse palates, this venue exudes an ambiance that effortlessly invites patrons to unwind or engage in productive pursuits. Personally, as I sit here, succumbing to the irresistible allure of their concoctions, I find myself swept away by waves of nostalgia—a testament to the profound impact of their offerings.

Moreover, the service here is exemplary; guests are graciously greeted with warmth and everything is made exactly on your demand.

In short, visit here and try and you shall not regret. It is simply my go-to place now.

p.s., I am writing this and ordering another one for...

Barely any boba in my drink, I finished it in like 5 minutes (it usually takes me a while to finish iced drinks) because it was such a little amount for the price, boba got stuck under the ice towards the end because the pieces were wayyyy too big. There are so many better boba places in Amsterdam, don’t waste your money on this one. The crepes were okay but not worth the hype/price at all. I ordered the matcha one with strawberries, had like a total of 8? strawberries for being 3 euro more expensive. Crepe was cold and a bit bland. Not horribly by any means but just
edible? For 10-11 euro I would expect a fresh warm crepe at least. The filling was weird with random bits of brownie, I think the matcha might not even fully be integrated into the dough but just sprinkled on? Just extremely lacklustre all around, hyped up but zero cohesion or freshness I would suggest avoiding this place in general. It doesn’t seem to have much going for it beyond its...
