This is an establishment run by thugs, I had a genuine fear for personal safety and recommend that everyone stay far away from the block this café is located on.
On King’s Day, there are free public toilets all throughout the city. Thinking this facility was no different, my friend used the toilet and we went on our way. Immediately after, a woman chases after us, grabbing us by the wrist and preventing us from leaving. We genuinely thought this was a scam, so we brushed it off and kept walking. Then, I feel a hard crushing grip against my neck; a man had ran up and grabbed me. Next, he twisted my thumb violently, and two other men promptly surrounded me. They then forced me to march back.
Note that I hadn’t even used the toilets, and I’m being assaulted on the street a block away from the café in a public space.
Had they calmly explained in the first place before resorting to violence, this whole situation could have been avoided. Also note, that this whole violent outburst was over 1 euro. Did the café really have to resort to violence to protect their...
