Salsa Shop — Restaurant in Amsterdam

If I could give zero stars, I would. In the beginning, they used to prepare all the food themselves, but later on, they switched to pre-made barbacoa, which was overly salty and watery. The same thing happened with the carnitas (pork).

On top of that, the staff had to pay for their own meals, and they weren’t even provided with cold water during hot days. It gets especially uncomfortable in a restaurant where multiple appliances are running. Employees were told to fill water from the sink and wait for it to chill in the fridge. In the winter, they weren’t given sweaters even though it gets really cold inside, especially with the two shop doors that must remain open, causing employees to frequently get sick.

The manager also frequently swore at employees, which is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I wish anyone good luck...

Had a burrito with chicken, mango salsa, white rice and extra grilled veggies. As well as 2 quesadillas which were hot and tasty. The burrito on the other hand… The burrito was cold, inside and outside, and not grilled. I told my friend and should have stopped eating right then and there. Less than 30min after eating, I got stings in my stomach and a very nauseous feeling. I had to take multiple trains later that afternoon, so timing couldn’t been worse. Writing this after a horrible night’s sleep & finally getting it out of my system, feeling like a warning is in place. Toilet was out of order, the place was very hot, both staff members were unable to smile or be friendly. Especially the male one: long face, no thank you or please or...

It is selfservice, but they won’t bring the food to your table. It is strange, because you have to get a number at the self service screen, but it is useless, because they call you by name. I think the decorations was nice. The toilet didn’t work at the moment and that is kind of a bummer since this place consumes food and drinks. It would be nice if they arranged something with places around them. It wasn’t busy, but it took a while before we got our food. The taste of the quesadillas was nice and I really like the salsa’s. It wasn’t that spicy so it is definitely worth to try all the flavours. I wished there was more filling, because we saw that the burritos are stuffed.
