Very rude staff. While drinking coffee, I was warned by the waiter that I had to take my napkin with me and throw it in the trash. I only cleaned the stain on my tshirt with a napkin and I showed it to her. That is just a napkin that I do not use in the toilet. Do you want the same from customers who clean their hands and mouth after eating? Btw when we sat the table was very dirty and the ashtray was full of sigarette….

Not considerate to neighbours! They parked the truck in middle of a one-way street even though there are specified loading bays. Took them more than 15 minutes, and the staff (or owner?) was inconsiderate and rude about it. A simple sorry would be good, but he just simply said to deal with it. Edit: the response to the review says everything you need to know. 15 minutes is not normal or acceptable.

One of the best local cafes in de Pijp! The owners (Deirdre & Nick) are very friendly, and the service is top notch (warm & welcoming). They managed to stay afloat during the pandemic, thankfully. We arrived in Amsterdam in April 2021, and have been searching for our "home base spot".... the search is over. I highly recommend, sincerely. Also, it's a dog friendly patio. 👍

We had a horrible experience here, we came three people, two ordered drinks and we also asked for tap water. Our third friend didn't want to drink anything but the waiter was very pushy asking her to order something "out of courtesy", which it very much wasn't with this pressure. He kept repeating "this is how business works" and coming back to us and treating your customers this way is definitely not how you run a business. Our friend wasn't taking anything from "the business", we would've had exactly the same bill with just the two of us. We very annoyed and disappointed as we really liked this place before. We definitely won't come back or recommend it to any of our friends so enjoy running your...

Rude! We order some beers while sitting on the terrace. Five minutes after paying them and having not yet finish them a waitress came to tell us that we had to leave because there were people waiting...

Total number of people: 2 Total number of orders: 4 (each 15 min) + snacks Total time spent: 35 minutes

I know that bars are struggling due to corona (...) but this was over the line.. You cant kick people out because they dont place an order for 5 mins. (Reading other reviews I see people are normally happy coming here, guess we are the exception that confirms that rule).

Hope the staff reads this and takes it into account for future...

A classic bar on a superb location for locals aswell as tourists who want to experience a real Amsterdam vibe. One minute walk away from the famous Albert Cuijp Market, the Heineken Brewery and the always blooming "De Pijp" area. Good selection of drinks combined with local brands makes it easy to stick around for a while. The bar has a cozy corner on the inside with an inviting bar, but is also accompanied by an outside terrace that completely surrounds the whole bar! A romantic table for two, a standing table or a lounge with couches, you name it, they have it. And if the amazing atmosphere doesn't grab you, the owners...
