Stopped here on a rainy day for a cup of coffee and a snack while we waited for a table elsewhere. I ordered a decaf coffee and it was actually delicious (so many decaf options just don’t taste great) and the others in my group mentioned they loved their regular coffees as well (one plain, one oat cappuccino). The best part was the appeltaart (apple pie) with whipped cream that we split amongst us 3. It was so delectable! And the whipped cream portion was quite generous. The slice was huge and was perfect to split between 2-3 people. The inside was quite small and packed, and probably because it was busy it took a while to get someone to bring our bill (we were also sat outside), but the staff were very friendly. Can’t speak for the rest of the food, but the coffee and apple pie were top notch.

We popped in for a late lunch after strolling around the market and neighbourhood for the afternoon. If I lived in Amsterdam I would come back often - such a great relaxing local spot with great service, food and atmosphere. We enjoyed the chicken pot pie with Bolleke (local beer) and escargot with bubbles. Bonus - it was nice to go beyond the usual tourist areas to experience a local area of the infamous city.

S'Avonds thuis in Limburg aangekomen werden we beide ziek!

Nou goeie start dakduif!

Worst cafè in Amsterdam.

The place was half empty and yet we had to wait for over an hour for our food.

The waiter forgot to place our order, then brought us the wrong one (which we didn’t realize right away because we were obviously hungry after waiting for an hour and fifteen minutes). We were then forced to pay extra for the dish he brought instead of the one we ordered, despite being their mistake (actually double mistake because the food wasn’t ordered in the first place).

The plate was really small and mediocre.

Save your money, much better brunch...
