Yesterday, my friend and I stopped by this cafĂ© after work, hoping to enjoy some coffee and cheesecake. We were expecting a nice, relaxing eveningâbut what happened next was just absurd.đ©
They flat-out refused to sell us even a single slice of cheesecake, saying they only sell half a cake. We were baffled. Then, just moments later, a couple with a child walked in and also wanted a slice. At this point, it was obviousâwe had four people willing to buy individual portions, which would allow them to sell off the remaining half of the cheesecake. Problem solved, right? So I suggested this to the girl behind the counter.
Her response? A deadpan âWe donât do that.âđ€Ż
All four of us just stood there, stunned. I asked âWhy?â hoping for at least some kind of reasonable explanation. But there was none. Her expression made it crystal clear: we should just leave.
We walked out in complete confusionâwhy on earth would a business rather let half a cheesecake sit until the next day than sell it right now to four real, paying customers? Not only would they have made a profit, but we would have gotten our dose of enjoyment, and on top of that, we would have ordered coffee as well. đ°âïžđ¶ It was a win-win for everyone⊠except, apparently, for them.
Iâve traveled all over the world, but I have never seen such a ridiculous lack of basic service and flexibility. It was honestly shocking.
Hugely disappointed. I really hope this place rethinks its approach to customers. If youâre looking for a nice evening with dessertâdonât waste your...
Read moreThey advertised on their instagram that they were providing free tastings of their new matcha flavour for this weekend which was perfect as we wanted to check out their cheesecake and flavours. The cheesecake was honestly great (was a fan of the classic lemon flavour). Sadly, the experience left a distaste.
The confusion started immediately upon entering the store. There were two flavours remaining: Lemon and Matcha. The man at the cashier made no mention of the free matcha tasting while I was inquiring about the two flavours and proceeded with purchasing the lemon flavour. He may have been the manager or owner because a girl in the back area motioned a matcha slice up to me on a plate but put it back down when the manâs response about the tastings available was that they were sold out.
A bit confused, we took the lemon cheesecake and ate it outside their store. When going back in to return the spoons, we noticed two girls who entered after us were in the store with two slices of the matcha tasting. The same man noticed us and made no effort to offer it to us.
In the end, I did receive the tasting from the same sweet girl in the back when I asked her about the available tasting. Thank you.
Verdict: The lemon was much better than their matcha flavour (had more depth to the flavour, but thatâs a personal...
Read moreThis amazing cheesecake gem that freshly opened 3 months ago has already achieved a big success in my opinion, I've purchased almost 10 times myself already, and here are some feedbacks from my experiences in the store.
The cheesecakes speak themself, love the lava-ish bursting basque cake, the taste is immaculate, creamy and rich, really well done with their cake, 10 out of 10 for me, staff are friendly and helpful too. But I do want to recommend them to put a bit more efforts on their take away services in order to make the overall experience remarkable.
I'm saying this because there are only a few seats available in the store, so most people would have their purchases as take away; Despite the Double size has a beautiful eco bamboo box, but for the Single slice, Medium or Large sizes for 'take away', the packaging's are very disappointing. Not that it's ugly, but it just doesn't provide enough support to the cake and cause a deformation after a few mins of riding on a bike (while already being very careful). That result surely ruined the mood for me and I know my friends also had the similar experiences on this matter. I genuinely hope they can find a...
