We spent three nights at this property in September 2023. The room is small-ish (as expected) but really nice and clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the boat and neighborhood felt very secure and safe.

The experience of staying in a houseboat on an Amsterdam canal was unique and very fun. We enjoyed watching boats pass and feeding water birds right from our window. The property is centrally located - in the midst of everything - and we easily walked everywhere we wanted to go. We walked many miles in Amsterdam, but that was by choice because there is so much to see, and (except for the days we arrived and left) we never used a taxi, Uber or public transportation during our stay.

Our host Susan was so kind and helpful, both before and during our stay. She was very communicative and provided lots of good information and recommendations for things to do and places to eat. We especially loved the pizza and Thai restaurants on the long list of nearby restaurants she recommended.

If we return to Amsterdam, we will be happy to stay at this property again. It really...

My husband and I wanted to do something different on our trip to Amsterdam rather than a typical hotel or rental. We found 2 House Boats and decided to book. We were not disappointed! The hosts were incredible and answered all of our questions. They were communicative throughout the payment process and while we were staying on the boat. The rooms are not large but were the perfect size for us. They were modern and clean with everything you need. We originally thought we would not spend much time on the boat as we'd go out and walk around, but we actually found ourselves spending quite some time sitting by the big open windows and watching as all the boats came by the canal. It was great people watching and very relaxing. At night the water was calming and with the windows closed there was barely any noise. We would absolutely recommend a stay with 2 House Boats if you are looking for a unique experience while visiting Amsterdam. There was so much to love about...

Susan is the perfect host and her houseboat is perfectly located (literally epicenter of the major attractions) and clean and comfortable inside - the bed and pillows were so very nice, bathroom well outfitted and modern, coffee/tea setups fine. Head out north one day, then south, then east/west: the location minimized need for backtracking. I've been to Amsterdam a few times but have never had such a wonderful experience: the location, the boat, watching the boats float by on the canal and the bicycles crossing the bridge (great views from the boat!), wonderful food very near, a great grocer just steps away, and a very low-key-good-vibed-and-friendly Coffeeshop (for those inclined). We were in a quiet and safe neighborhood, all in all a very comfortable and fun adventure. I hope to return, don't think I could stay anywhere else, totally spoiled. Here are a few pics taken from inside the boat.. the swan (and ducks) liked to come by to share our...

Wow! The views here are great, but what really stood out was Susan! She is an angel sent from the heavens. Right away she will welcome you onto her boat and make you feel like you’re best friends. The fresh flowers, Prosecco, beer, and other refreshments upon arrival are a great touch. Susan is extremely responsive. She has seriously never met a stranger! The room was clean and cozy. We loved watching the boats go by on the canal. The neighborhood has TONS to do. You’re steps from the Anne Frank House and the House Boat Museum is right next door! We even hopped on a canal tour from a private boat company in a couple minutes walk on the same canal. You will see lots of coots and swans swim by and come up to greet you. If you’re worried about noise at night, don’t be. We left the window open every night and didn’t have a problem. The tours seemed to stop at a reasonable hour. I also highly suggest renting bikes from Susan. What a great experience.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Susan was a wonderful host, surprising us with champagne, chocolates, and fresh pastries during our stay. Susan was available for any needs we had during our stay and was always willing to offer recommendations for things to do if needed. The location of the boat was more than we could have ever hoped for. Situated in De 9 Straatjes neighborhood we were close to tons of cafes, bars, coffee shops, boutiques, supermarkets, and public transportation. From this location we were able to experience both the more touristy side of Amsterdam as well as the more "local" version of the city; a far cry from the hotels near the Dam and Centraal Station. We definitely plan to go back for a future anniversary and would recommend 2HouseBoatSuites and Susan to anyone visiting the city!
