Café Pierewaaier — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I had a dutch old woman and a guy come out of the bar and made very homophobic remarks whilst telling my Irish boyfriend to go back to his country , while he was walking the dog and having a random altercation with a guy whose dog that was off leash attacked our dog ! And the guys and her proceeded to shout slurs at him and make further homophobic remarks , safe to say this bar isn’t considered a safe space for anyone that is not Dutch or straight !...

This was a lovely surprise. I randomly walked in without a plan and the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. Even brought me some mini pretzels as extra to go with my beer. Music was amazing and the right volume level. Prices were on the cheap side for Amsterdam, and there were very "authentically Dutch" things like Hagelslag on the menu and boiled eggs on...

The ambient is incredibly cozy, clean, and welcoming! The bar is small but well organized that makes everything feel welcoming. The worker was very nice, talkative, and polite. I came with the Amsterdam pass and he treated me very well (which doesn’t always happen in other places). Beer was really good and the food was amazing...
