Not sure why people recommend this place. It was our 4th day in Netherlands and we have never failed any brunch or coffee until we visit this place.

First of all, the service was 'awkward'. I would not put a word 'rude' here, but certainly weird and somewhat unpleasant. They seemed extremely kind but at the same time very passive aggressive. All the menus were online and they reject any offline orders without providing any paper menus. You will have to be in basement if you dont book (again I have no idea why all those papers were booked), but the atmosphere was too small and not nice enough compared to others.

I at least expected something special in food and drinks. However, they were certainly below average! Just normal bread, croassaint and normal eggs - which they called as 'hang over breakfast' and took 20 euros from my pocket. The worst part was coffee. I have a fair bit of experience in coffee/barista, and could tell immediately their management on coffee machine was unhygienic and poor. Could taste lots of 'burnt smell' surely not from beans but the machine. Ice coffee was just not-cold coffee without ice.

I always thought dutch cafe provide decent coffee and brunch. I came from the UK and loved every parts of Dutch cafe. However, NOT this place. I am sure there are tons of better cafes around this...

Very disappointing experience at Corner Bakery Amsterdam. I bought a voucher at Tripper and made a reservation online to try their freaky crumble and tea/coffee.

Upon arriving, here’s what happened Staff said that there was no reservation under my name (despite showing the confirmation and reminder of reservation emails). She let me in anyway as there was space available. I went to ask what coffee/tea was part of the deal and was informed that any of them was included. When it was time to leave, more problems ensued as the staff was unsure how to settle the payment with voucher. After 10-15 minutes of explaining back and forth, phone calls and sending screenshots of confirmation etc to their boss and still they couldn’t decide if the deal was valid (because it wasn’t on their systems), I was asked to pay “just for the drink”. I questioned the staff member why I would need to pay extra when I already bought and paid for the deal that stated it includes cake and tea/coffee. After being treated like a criminal, I was finally told “it’s ok” and I could leave.

It’s very humiliating being treated like this and I cannot...

We had issues getting a reservation. The whatsapp process worked well in the past but they were non responsive for well over a day this time but we did finally get through and did have a reservation confirmed.

We arrived slightly early. We were able to see the manager move our reserved table upstairs (with window views) to the downstairs and seat a larger group that hadn't reserved to our upstairs reserved spot. He literally took the reserved sign and moved it right in front of us and sat the larger and then we followed him to where he put our reserved sign on our table.

This felt like an insult considering we had taken the time to reserve and struggled many times to get one in.

It was our Anniversary weekend and we really had fond memories of this cafe so we wanted to visit it again.

We've decided that we're done with them.

We'll find another cafe that doesn't treat people who actually take the effort to make a...

Glutenfree bread rolls - not bad, but very expensive (€13,95). Orange juice €4,95 and cappuccino large €4,50 extra. Our table was inside, where we didn't feel very comfortable although the interior is nice. Staff especially the guy who coordinated the reservations/tables yelled always very loudly. So not a nice atmosphere for breakfast or lunch or whatever when it's not a bar ;). On the website they offer glutenfree pancakes. At the café they "are not sure, but they think so". They don't have a menu on paper, it's only available with a qr code, which is theoretically a good idea - but with allergies it's difficult to check. The online menu also had some bugs and it didn't show consistently the right options for glutenfree. As you can see I didn't have glutenfree pancakes;), so maybe you should delete this from your website. In addition please train your staff about options for different allergies.

Deliciously Beautiful Brunch Spot in Amsterdam Corner Bakery in Amsterdam is a popular breakfast-and-lunch café with two vibrant locations (Oud-Zuid and Nieuw West). It’s known for its over-the-top sandwiches, fluffy pancakes, homemade freak-shakes, cakes, and fresh salads 🥞🍰🥤. With its cozy vibe and creative, indulgent menu, it’s a favorite spot for a perfect cheat-day treat 😋. The generous portions, friendly atmosphere, and fun café experience make it well worth the visit ☕✨. ✅ Varied and creative menu ✅ Gluten-free, veggie & vegan options ✅ Halal options available ✅ Generous portions ✅ Beautiful interior / Instagrammable setting 🍽️ What we had: – Eggs Benedict – Pulled Beef Bread Roll – Salmon Bread Roll – American Pancakes with Strawberries and Whipped Cream 💸 €10-20 p.p. 📍Amsterdam Oud-Zuid | Nieuw West 🔝 Follow us on Instagram for THE BEST places to eat and drink in Amsterdam!

Found this place via Google when searching for some of the best breakfast spots in Amsterdam. It truly is a neighborhood Gem. If you want to guarantee being able to dine in here, MAKE RESERVATIONS. Otherwise, you might get turned away due to the small size of the restaurant. We started with two lattes. I had the Brioche French toast with a side of halal bacon. It was fantastic & a huge portion. My wife had the Croque Madam, which was also a huge portion of food. She really enjoyed it. Be patient with service, as there are only 3-4 people working in the entire restaurant, with only two in the main dining room. They were so nice & hospitable though. Also, they're in the museum district neighborhood, so they're a block away from the Rikjsmuseum & Van Gogh Museum. Go and enjoy!
