De Pizzakamer — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Went to eat pizza but unfortunately could not do so! So the rating is based on not being served. When we arrived, we looked for a seating outside and since there was not, we asked the waiter if we can sit if we see an empty space. He replied with maybe come later like half an hour as it is too busy so it might take a while. But bear in mind we went there around 9 and Google says the place closes at 10. Anyways, while my husband was talking to the waiter, a group of people left their table so we were able to sit. After my husband told the waiter that we found a table, he again said that it is busy and reiterated that it might take longer. This is understandable to an extent however after we sat no one came to take our order for a long time and we decided to leave as we were too hungry to deal with this at that point! Shame that we couldn’t try their pizza and my rating is based on poor service but employees represent the restaurant and unfortunately this was a poor interaction...

First of all, I want to start by saying that I totally understand the restaurant was packed and the waitress was overworked.

However, I ordered a glutenfree margarita pizza and it was not good. It was thick and a little soggy, the cheese didn’t taste good. I checked if it was vegan cheese and was assured it wasn’t. After eating I double checked cuz the cheese was like jelly and it turned out to be vegan. In the end it wasn’t disastrous because it was a nut free vegan cheese, but a lot of them have nuts in them. So, I felt a little scared because of my allergy. The waitress told me it wouldn’t happen next time and didn’t offer any discounts or anything. So, I don’t feel like coming back here.

Also, the music was way too clubby and ventilation was bad so my family and I had lack of oxygen😬. It was...

My expierience: I have been at Pizzakamer many times. I am Italian and I liked it. Suddenly something is changed; I go for 4 pizza takeaway. It takes a while but is ok as its busy. Half way my waiting time an other guy comes and asks for 2 pizzas. He leaves before me! I know how to cook a pizza and the lats excuse is that it was a quicker order! The chef was only flirting with the girls working there. Normally is not a problem. But in this case he overlooked the rules of restaurant.. beside... if you have a friend, make it so no one realize the trick! I will probably never go there again and if I do is cause I am obliged! Too bad I had to write such a review. If I was the owner, I would look for how to fix...
