What a wonderful experience we had at Miri Mary tonight. We had a reservation for dinner and were the first of many tables to come in within a 5 minute span. Rashmi was our server and even while being very busy she took great care of us and walked us through both the food and drink menu while giving us background information and inspirations for our dishes as they were served.

I got the special menu drink which was a bourbon drink that was delicious. My wife got the pearl and also enjoyed it. For our meal, we took Rashmi’s suggestion and got the Chefs Daawat (chefs choice) and were so glad we did! Everything that was selected for us was delicious including a few dishes that we wouldn’t have selected for ourselves. The food was so good and we were so involved in the experience we forgot to take any pictures!

Our first course was the wheat crisp and chickpea salad, prawn canapés, and the goan chorizo bruschetta. Each one was extremely delicious, especially the prawn canapés (our favorite bite of the night). The wheat crisp and chickpea salad surprised us both by how much we enjoyed it. It had a cilantro sauce on it that made the whole dish! You can’t miss the chorizo bruschetta as well, it was amazing.

Our second course was the smoky black lentils and the butter chicken served with some naan and rice as well as a yogurt sauce. We were very happy to get the butter chicken and it did not disappoint! Once again, we were surprised by how much we enjoyed a dish with the lentils. We were impressed by how deep the flavor was with the dish. Rashmi told us it’s cooked for 12 hours to get its smokiness and flavor and it was well worth the effort it took! I also will say that the yogurt sauce served with the meal was a new addition to Indian dining experience for me and it was amazing. We added it to every bite and it was such a wonderful addition to the dishes.

Our final course was the Mary’s Nest which was an ice cream/gelato adjacent desert. The mango and pomegranate flavors were great!

Overall it was a wonderful dining experience for me and my wife. Beyond the food and overall vibe of the place, the service was top notch. The bartender came over to the table during our meal and introduced himself and asked us about our drinks to make sure we were enjoying them. Even with the place being so busy, they made us feel like we were there only guests and took wonderful care of us. We have a new restaurant for our must visit list...

We chose this restaurant for dinner for a group of 6 because it was highly recommended by our friends and the restaurant has noan average rating of 4.8 out of ~3000 reviews in Google.

But our experience was not the best and the reason for the 2 stars is as follows

The seating arrangement was quite underwhelming. The table was too small for 6 people. There was no space to keep the cutlery. The plates were very small which made it extremely difficult to serve and eat. When we asked to change the plates after starters, they said they were out of cutlery and we had to wait for 15 min if we wanted new plates.

For a group of 6, the restaurant only offers a daawat menu which is a fixed three course menu at 40 Euros per person excluding drinks. They did not give us any information on what the menu was. We had to ask all the details regarding the food ourselves and the waiters did not seem well informed to explain the menu to us.

We had to wait 1 hour to get the starters because they messed up our order.

4 of us chose the non veg menu. In the main course they gave us only 3 butter chickens and told us that it is actually for 4 people and we had to share it among us. Also the waiter initially told us that there was a butter chicken and Miri spicy chicken as a part of the main course, but we were never served the Miri spicy chicken. They also messed up our dessert order. We were told that we would get a panna cotta and an Indian icecream for dessert. But in the end they only served us the Indian icecream. When we asked for the panna cotta, the waitress said that the kitchen was out of panna cotta. If we still wanted it, she has to make a special request to the chef.

In the end when we got the bill, they added extra items to the bill which we did not order. We noticed this only after we paid. They did refund the amount though. Also they charge 3.5 Euros for tap water and they add a 7.5% service fee on top of the bill.

Lastly, the food is good, no doubt about that. But if theres a premium charge on the food + 7.5 % service charge, we would expect a service and an ambience that...

I was honestly shocked after eating here and seeing all the positive reviews. We stopped here on our trip to Amsterdam and our experience was just bad.

We made a reservation and when we arrived it was not super busy at all. There seemed to be an issue with us wanting to be seated outside even though most of the tables were empty but we eventually were seated outside. The service was absurdly slow and it seemed like staff had an issue managing the tables. I am super reasonable about this knowing that in other parts of the world, meals are meant to be more of a relaxed experience and takes a bit longer but our overall experience here spanned almost THREE hours. We ordered apps and mains which took a while to come out but completely understandable. After we ate, we sat at the table for about 30 minutes with no acknowledgment from the staff. We tried numerous times to get the attention of our host/waiter but he avoided eye contact which prolonged the process. We were finally able to flag down our waiter for dessert. Either he forgot to put the order in or it took that long for them to put it out, 45 minutes passed and we still hadn't gotten it. It took another 20 minutes of trying to make eye contact which he avoided and my husband had to walk over to him to ask him to cancel the dessert. He said he would check the kitchen and came out with it immediately. It was an ice cream dessert so I am not really sure what happened. We ate dessert and waited for our bill. Again almost 20 minutes trying to make eye contact, my husband having to walk over to ask for the bill, we were told someone else would bring the bill but after another 20 minutes, the same waiter brought the bill over to us? This was such a frustrating and exhausting experience for us. Some customers were also turned away for dinner because it was 'too busy' even though there were so many tables still open. The food was okay, unique and innovative but it did not have enough spice to it. I'm glad we tried it but would...

We had a reservation at 17;45 and got there at quite a quiet time, I would recommend booking advance because they do get very busy (especially inside) quite quickly. We had the chefs heritage where they brought out 3 courses of their favourite options and it was delicious! It is quite well priced for the amount we got so I would definitely recommend it. We started with prawn canapes (a pleasantly surprising 9/10), chaat of the day (fresh, it’s quite sweet but very tasty 8/10) and croquettes (10/10). For the mains, we had saag paneer (amazing but personally I love paneer so it can’t go wrong 9/10) and a butter chicken dish (delicious and perfectly spiced 10/10), paired with yoghurt, soft butter naan and nice rice. The dessert was three balls of cream and dried fruit - mango, pistachio and saffron, pomegranate (with a layer of chia seed pudding with coconut 7/10- delicious but would personally like to have something sweeter). We also had a mango lassi which was very tasty 8/10. Cocktails Miris margarita! 10/10 super fresh, smooth and delicious! Pearl 6/10 was too strong of gin flavor but that’s a personal preference! Basil based cocktail which is very refreshing. Cinnamon rush 8/10 love cinnamon and whiskey! Espresso martini 10/10 delicious pairing with the desserts (thanks to our waitress for all of her recommendations)!!! The only note I had about the atmosphere is that the table was slanted so we almost lost a few plates and drinks but that is easily fixable! The waitress was very helpful and helped us through our whole experience. Service was so kind and we felt very welcome and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and will be back to try more!

A Great Experience Cut Short We recently visited this restaurant for what started as a fantastic evening, only to end on a sour note. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly, and the ambiance was inviting. The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server made excellent recommendations. The food? Absolutely delicious. Every dish was well-prepared, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It truly felt like we had found a new favorite spot. However, just as we were about to order dessert, we were unexpectedly asked to leave because another reservation was waiting for our table. This took us completely by surprise. We had made a reservation ourselves, yet at no point were we informed that we had a strict time limit of 90 minutes. Had we known, we would have planned our meal accordingly. Instead, the abrupt request left us feeling rushed and unwelcome, souring what had been an otherwise perfect dining experience. It’s understandable that restaurants need to manage table turnover, especially during busy times, but clear communication is key. A simple mention of the time limit when booking or upon arrival would have made all the difference. Unfortunately, what could have been a flawless night ended with us skipping dessert—not by choice, but because we were essentially shown the door. We truly enjoyed the food and service, but the lack of transparency left a bad taste. If you plan to dine here, be sure to ask about time restrictions upfront to avoid an unfortunate surprise.

I had very high expectations of the restaurant after I saw it several times on social media. Unfortunately, these were only partially fulfilled. First things first: The food was really wonderful, both visually and in terms of taste. Indian food different - an interpretation of classic combined with street food prepared in a very unique style. The level of spiciness was European. We had the Bombay sandwich, the Butter Chicken Benny (which is mainly why I came here) and a Chicken Kathi roll for lunch. Unfortunately, the eggs from the Benny were cooked for too long, only one out of four eggs was perfect :( The chai was strong and tasted like homemade. Unfortunately, no sugar was added or offered to me. The surroundings: The restaurant is very nice and relatively simply decorated. Unfortunately, there are only plastic flowers. The seating inside was very cramped, which wasn't nice. The toilet was also tiny and the water in the sink didn't drain. The service was ok. The waitress was friendly, but I would have liked a little more attention. I actually wanted to have dessert, but it took too long to get her attention, so I decided against it. The prices were absolutely fair for what we got. All in all, it's worth eating here. There could be some small improvements. But defenitely thank you for the great taste experience!
