Duende Dos — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I've lived in the heart of Spain for a decade, in Madrid. I missed the foods from there so i was excited to go here with friends.

Unfortunately the experience we had here with the waiters was terrible. We waited for 45 min to order our drinks, then another half hour to order food. We tried so many times to get their attention but other tables were attended first. We felt unwanted.

We went here the end of August and yes it was packed, but they didn't seem understaffed.

The concept is tapas so the idea is you can order more to share at any time (we were even told that by the waiter) but we felt completely ignored all of the time. The concept was flawed.

This was the total opposite experience from Spain where service is direct but fast.

The food was ok but not stellar. The sangria lacked oomph, as well as the salsa brava. For wanting to give my friends a taste of Spanish service and incredible flavours i felt disappointed and embarrassed. I...

No complaints! Vibe is awesome, people are nice (if you speak Spanish, this helps). Food is awesome!

We went in a large group so we were able to try a bit of everything! Tapas style of course! We also had paella! Enough food but at the same time you pay for it. I tend to recommend larger group for tapas because you get to try different things for "cheaper". If you're just 2 people, you can maybe try 4 to 5 things max and you pay a lot more for it too. Anyways, you get what I'm saying.
