Absolutely blown away from start to finish! Eggs Benaddicted in Amsterdam is an absolute must-visit for anyone who loves a great breakfast or brunch experience. Beautifully located with views of the canals, it’s the perfect place to relax and soak in the atmosphere of this wonderful city. There are tables outside where you can sit, sip your coffee, and enjoy the sounds and sights of Amsterdam drifting by — it’s as idyllic as it gets. The food was out of this world. I can’t recommend the French toast enough — made with their own homemade brioche and served with a luscious combination of sour cream, cherries, and jam. Every bite was perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy, and it genuinely tasted like something crafted with care. The waffles were equally sensational; I had mine topped with poached eggs, pancetta, ricotta, and a drizzle of rich maple 🍁 syrup — the mix of flavors and textures was just divine. To complete the meal, I enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice and one of the best lattes I’ve had in the city. Everything was beautifully presented and served with a smile. The staff were warm, attentive, and clearly proud of the place — their enthusiasm really added to the experience. What really stands out about Eggs Benaddicted is how effortlessly it blends quality, creativity, and charm. It’s a polished yet laid-back spot that manages to feel both local and special. From the décor to the cleanliness and the calm, inviting vibe, everything feels thoughtfully done. In short, paradise on a plate — and with those canal views, it’s hard to imagine a better start to the day. 🇳🇱😋 Highly recommended!

We got our tabe (family of 4) fairly quick. Drinks were served minutes after the order was taken. However, food arrived after a long wait. It was rather generously plated - even too generously if it comes to pancakes, which were ordered by both of my kids. Pancakes were served with chocolate sauce and fresh fruits. Portions were rather humongous, yet with not enough chocolate sauce to keep the stack of pancakes moist enough. As a result, it tasted dry, so even my kids (who normally polish their plates) couldn't finish 1/3 of it. It felt as if all of our orders were disproportionately large. From what I noticed, most of the customers left their food unfinished. Hence, small suggestion to the owners: reduce portion sizes (and prices, proportionally) in order to minimise the waste and workload for your staff - those guys in the open kitchen were on fire! Also, small cappuccino should actually be called 'tiny' 😉 (delicious, yet extra small). Other than that - food was very tasty 😁. The staff did their best to keep up with the demand. Thank you

We stopped by Eggs Benedicted on a Saturday afternoon around 2pm. Although you can’t make a reservation, we had no trouble getting a table despite it being quite busy. The crowd was mostly young and the atmosphere was lively, with a nice open kitchen at the back and friendly, confident staff. The menu had plenty of options. We went for the duck and mushroom Eggs Benedict (delicious) and the classic version with bacon, which my husband really enjoyed. They were out of croissants, but our daughter had a brioche with jam and butter, which she loved. I had a lemon and ginger tea—simple but very good. What stood out was how welcoming they were to kids. The waitress gave our daughter a colouring book and crayons as soon as we sat down, which is rare to see in Amsterdam and really appreciated. The interior is warm and inviting, and although the toilets are upstairs (like many places here), they were clean and well kept. Prices were fair for the quality, and overall it was a great experience. We’ll definitely be back.

It took a while to be seated and then no one came to take our order and I had to go up to tell them and ended up ordering 30 minutes later. The food is still yet to arrive an hour later. The best benedict is not worth the terrible service.

Editing review to reply to the owner comment:

I would recommend saying "dear customer" instead of "dear sir" or "dear ma'am" because I feel already incorrectly addressed and using a neutral term avoids offense. For the record, I am not a sir.

The day was very busy for the restaurant and I feel it would have been helpful to know ahead of time the wait or expectations. And if the kitchen/staff is overwhelmed, giving an estimated wait time is very appreciated.

When I flagged down one of the staff to ask about time expectations for food, they just said "I don't know you" which gave me pause of how they should know what tables are for what item. It feels unorganized. For example, a party of 5 received their food before my party of 2, and they were sat down much later after we did.

The lack of reservation system makes figuring out how to even enter the place confusing on a busy day. Another customer asked me the same, and seemed anxious about if they could find a table or know when they would be called.

One nice thing was that the staff took off our coffee from the bill, but at this point I really didn't care and wanted to leave.

I hope my review explains the entirety of the situation, and that it helps the business identify ways they can further improve. Thank you for serving despite the busy day, but in summary there are many points that the business...
