An outstanding experience as a single diner.

My recent visit to Grizzy was truly memorable, starting with their classic burger— in my opinion the best burger in Amsterdam. It was cooked exactly as I had requested, and the blend of well chosen ingredients struck the perfect balance between robust flavour and delightful simplicity. The creamy cheese and the crisply toasted, slightly sweet bun elevated the whole experience.

The seasonal beer, a Belgian-style Ambre ale currently on offer, with its slightly dry flavour profile, was an excellent match for the meal. The selection changes seasonally, ensuring there’s always something new to try out. Although initially disappointed by the unavailability of local Damrak gin, the Hendrick’s gin and tonic served was flawless in mix and presentation, achieving an appealing balance without being overdone.

The window seat provided a vibrant view of Amsterdam life, a city that brings diverse people together. The bar's atmosphere, with its mix of 80s and 90s pop and rock and sports screenings, is perfect for a relaxed meal with a partner or friend. Additionally, the bar's policy on not accommodating large groups preserved the peace, and the staff's tactful management of such situations ensured everyone left in good spirits.

Great decent American style burgers, but sercice could be improved. After the previous bad experience we had in another restaurant we were craving for a good burger for late lunch and Google led us to this place. Apperantly this was an excellent choice. The beer selection is very good and the service is very fast. After a small wait we got 2 giant juicy burgers with everything you need on top, a small fresh salad and fries on the side made this dish just perfect. Only points for improvement is on the service. I'm not sure if it's a culture thing here in the netherlands, but the lady that took our order was a bit rude on the attitude. Also I've asked for a medium roasted burger and she answered me that it's only well done. Well not sure why, but a place that knows it's way around meat should allow the option to order a different level of meat roasting.

All in all other than that this place is pretty recommended, with nice vibes...

Pleasant surprise. We were having some drinks around the area on a Saturday night and we wanted to grab dinner before carrying on with the night. We had a stroll around and lots of places looked bad, and the decent ones, had queue or were already closed. We spotted this one and by the look, kind of sports American bar, and the quality of some places of the streets around, I thought it would be just ok. But food was actually decent and nice. We ordered chicken tenders, and meat was juicy and tender. Burgers also tasted good and they were filling. Service was also good, there was only one waiter around and one girl behind the bar. They were friendly and attentive, but also chilled and easy going, they just made the environment more pleasant. Definetely recommend if you are around the area and want something decent and you are unsure where to go, specially if it's at night and most of the places...
