To summarise below: These guys will exploit you by charging you double whats advertised. We choose two meals costing €17.80 and got charged €26!! Cat with visible fleas roaming around the kitchen and eating area. If i could give this place 0 stars i would.
Advertised on the window as €4.95 for a bowl of noodles: (choose in 3 stages, noodles / meat (additional couple of €) / free sauce)
However the price somehow ramped up to €26 euros for 2 of us to eat. Baring in mind we had 2 small bowls of noodles, 1 with 'chefs special vegetables' thrown in extra €5 euros (not sure whats special about broccoli and mushrooms) the other dish i chose to add shrimp €2.80. The menu clearly states the noodles come with vegetables yet they add vegetables as an additional ingredient and charge you???
To top off the experience, they let there visibly flea infested cat stroll around the kitchen and eating area. We love cats we have 2, but having them in a food establishment is no go.
Seriously give this place a miss, there is loads of nice honest places to eat all surrounding this place. if you do go, calculate your meal € and stick...
Read moreWe went to Wok Inn twice in the last few days and on our second visit I can only describe it as being a massive tourist trap and rip off. Let me explain....
Day 1 - Three of us visited Wok Inn as we were drawn in by the menu advertising halal food and the choice of lots of different options for your rice or noodle dishes. I ordered the beef fried rice and my friend ordered the Thai sweet chilli noodles. The portions were generous and the food tasty. Clearly not the greatest quality and at about €8 for the dish not great value but hit the spot when hungry.
Day 2 - 'They saw us coming' as the phrase goes. I ordered Thai noodles with chicken. The chap at the counter, who is the owner, persuaded me to have some sweet corn in there. I said yes and the bill shot up to €10. I thought it's expensive but as long as the food is ok it's fine. This time I took the food out and when I opened it it was just a load of slop.
Do yourself a favour and skip this place. It's a tourist trap and an expensive...
Read morePoor service. DO NOT BUY HERE. It’s not often I get upset while traveling, I’m quite easy going and usually it’s very hard to get me displeased. But I left here prematurely because the cashier was being very very rude. I really didn’t expect it. My travel buddie and I stopped here because I was craving for some asian food. I genuinely did not understand the menu when I got in, and when I asked one of the employees, their response was along the lines that the menu is pretty clear, it is me who does not have the capacity to understand. He went ahead to start speaking very loudly when he started explaining. That is when I then decided to step out of the line and leave. Overall my experience in Amsterdam was really great, it was just a shame that I had encounter this restaurant which kind of killed my...
