Hungry? Think again:
We saw a mouse (yes, a freaking mouse) walking past our table. I report this to one of the kitchen staff members (an open kitchen, literally 1 meter away from where we were sitting) and his reply was "Well, this is Amsterdam, it's full of mice". I ask him if the health and safety committee (GGD, in Dutch) are aware of this and his reply was "Well yeah, they gave us some mouse traps that we use during the night but still, there are too many. It must be because the restaurant next door has a cat in their kitchen so all the mice come to us (!).
I am not kidding. This was his actual reply before he proceeded to stand outside the door and enjoy his well-deserved cigarette.
I then asked the person serving our table, whether he was aware of the GGD rules regarding mice, to which he replied with the question "What is the GGD?". I explained to him that we saw a mouse and according to health and safety regulations, this is not the best place a mouse could be. He seemed to become stressed and he said he doesn't know what I was talking about. I asked him if he was aware of any mice issue in the restaurant and he just replied "No" while leaving our table obviously offended by my question.
Eat at your own risk: The food was decent, you can call it a good fast-food option, although somewhat overpriced for what they serve.
I will never set foot in there again, not only because of the freaking MOUSE casually walking next to the kitchen, but due to the fact that the staff couldn't give a DAMN about the fact that we complained.
For duck's sake, we live in 21st...
Read moreThe food was good, but we had the worst service I've ever experienced.
When the waitress learned we had placed some orders using the provided QR code but others in person she huffed loudly, threw her hands into the air and huffed back to the bar before coming back.
When the meal had arrived, we asked for condiments, and she turned without saying a word and stomped off (really stomped her feet like a child) before we had finished asking what we wanted. One of our party then told her we didn't appreciate her attitude, and she stormed off and we didn't see her again. Another waiter appeared and we gave the feedback that we couldn't believe how we'd been treated by her, and he had the nerve to say we were making it hard for her in the way we were ordering!
We also couldn't pay separately. At time of writing they need a new system...

The "tap your own heineken" is most definitely a gimmick, with extortionate prices you pay for a 250ml glass of heineken which you supposedly "tap yourself" with there being an individual tap at most tables. Two problems with this, when the waitress was demonstrating how to use it, she just did it herself, which seemed a bit pointless as now my friend had a beer which was pulled by someone else.
For my beer, I did do it myself, but it was just like pressing a button, you pull the lever once and 250ml of beer just comes out all in one go, overspilling into the drip tray, and so you get no control of how fizzy you want it as half of it becomes foam.
Would avoid the beer gimmick.
The food however was very nice, and i would definitely...
