Fabian Restaurant. Pizza Steak House — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I do not leave reviews often, but this was disappointing after reading so many positive reviews. After getting to the restaurant at 9:40pm (for which I have proof in a text I sent saying I had just arrived for dinner), we ordered our food and drinks. We received our drinks fine, but the time went on and at 10:30pm we began to wonder what was taking our food so long. A man who had come into the restaurant after us was then served so we questioned the female member of staff (we did not get her name, but she was short, slim with dark brown hair) and explained we were still waiting for our food 50 minutes later. She then defensively stated that he was there before us where we responded that he actually came in a while after us. She then shouted over the counter at us that ‘she knows her job’ and that we had only been there for 20 minutes (like I said, I had proof we were there much longer). We then said we would like to pay for our drinks so she brought over the receipt and slammed it onto the table. Her behaviour was so unprofessional and we were left extremely embarrassed in front of other people. If I could leave 0 stars then believe me I would as I did not even get a chance to taste the food before we were treated so poorly! I will also point out that the young man with the dark brown hair in a bun was very polite and apologetic, but the lady’s attitude was...

Where do I even start with this place? Five stars honestly isn’t enough.

We walked in as a table of two and were seated fairly quickly. The moment we arrived, the ambience was cosy, intimate, and incredibly welcoming.

Our waitress — who’s also the owner’s daughter — was absolutely amazing. You can tell she genuinely cares about each guest and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is well looked after. The customer service alone deserves a 5-star rating.

Now the food… phenomenal. I’ve been to quite a few Italian spots, and it’s easy for dishes to feel repetitive or underwhelming — but not here. You could taste every single ingredient in every bite. The pesto pasta was simple but bursting with flavour, and the bruschetta was perfectly balanced with garlic and seasoning.

The whole experience was incredible — this is easily the No. 1 dinner spot and an absolute must-visit

We then came to find out that the chef is her father which really brought a smile to my face because you can just feel the love in the food .. well done guy...

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Fabian Pizza in Amsterdam. From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere set the tone for a great evening. The decor is charming, cozy, and perfect for enjoying a delicious meal.

The food was exceptional. The pizzas were perfectly crafted with fresh ingredients, a perfectly crisp crust, and toppings bursting with flavor. Every bite was a testament to their dedication to authentic, high-quality pizza.

The service was equally outstanding. Our waiter was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, adding a personal touch to the meal. They made great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

Fabian Pizza exceeded all my expectations, and I can’t recommend it enough. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Amsterdam, this place is a must-try for pizza lovers. I’ll definitely be returning!

Ask for the garlic mayo for your pizza….sounds crazy...
