Me and my partner first came here a couple of months ago. The service was a bit slow, but they were quite busy. We loved it, so much that we came back the next day again! Then we visited again yesterday, and we can safely say that we will never return here.

We arrived and asked for a table for two. They were fully, but not busy, and had more staff on than last time. The only place they had was a table perched right next to someone’s steps to their house and drainage alongside it. The table was also super sticky, and whilst normally we would ask staff to wipe it down, the staff were so inattentive (want to be clear they were NOT busy, just inattentive) that this probably would have taken another half an hour from our evening. Knowing we love their steak, we accepted it and waited. We ordered at around 08:45, two steaks (medium) and two beers. The beers took about 20 minutes to arrive! We didn’t complain, we knew we would love the steaks…

…eventually a better table became available as some people left, so we asked to move there and they said we could. They cleared the glasses, but, revealing why the tables are sticky, they didn’t wipe it down. The next time staff came near to us was to bring us our steaks. This was 40 minutes after ordering! 40 minutes to bring us two EXTREMELY rare steaks when we ordered medium (rare takes a few minutes, not 40, and is wrong anyway).

Both steaks were disgusting. Mooing on the plate and tasteless. We asked them if they could cook the steaks a little longer as they were not medium. We asked that they just cook the same ones longer, as we had already been there for over an hour and were starving. They agreed, and then came back 20 minutes later with two new steaks and fresh fries. These steaks were medium in one part and extremely rare in other parts, they were also two of the worst cuts of meat I had ever seen, and laced with over seasoning and salt so much that it ruined the taste of the meat and sauce. It was disgusting, bad quality meat, badly cooked and badly seasoned. My partner managed to finish his, but I had to leave half of mine (even inedible for my partner!). Also, how does a chef take 40 minutes to send out two rare steaks, and then 15 minutes to send our (part)-medium ones?! šŸ¤”). At no point did they ask how the food was, even after the 2nd steak.

Given the prices (€100 when it felt like it was worth about €20) we waited with our meal finished for about another 30 minutes and since the staff were so careless and inattentive, we had to ask for the bill before our table was even clear or else sit in the restaurant until midnight. I have honestly never seen worse service in terms of checking on customers and cleanliness and speed/efficiency anywhere in the world. It was really inattentive, and we could see that they had enough staff and were not busy…

…The bill didn’t arrive for another 15 minutes so we asked a different member of staff who laughed and said ā€œhe’s probably getting itā€. 5 minutes later he came with the bill, laughing that he had forgotten it and then told us we need to go inside to pay šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø (maybe say that when we ask for the bill…).

My partner paid and bit his lip about the awful experience because we were both so internally raging that we didn’t want to ā€˜open the floodgates’ (I could have thrown my plate at them!). He thanked the waiter at the end, but the waiter did not even look up at him or acknowledge him.

We have had two amazing steaks at this restaurant, and then yesterday one of the worst steaks ever. We could have given it another go, however the reason we will never come back here, is because the staff are totally useless at their jobs (which I’ve done myself), lack basic manners or customer service skills, don’t keep the tables clean, are slow, ungrateful to customers who are polite to them and seem to not have any respect or appreciation for your (repeat) business at all. This was the first time ever in my life that I haven’t tipped. We will never go here again and would discourage others too. They made a bad experience,...

The photo of a cowboy grilling outdoors should not be there. It is misleading as all cooking is done in their interior kitchen. They don't use high quality beef nor is it aged or marbled. Very poor quality products and cooking. I went there based on the high review scores but unfortunately the food was not only expensive but tasteless. Waste of a night when there are much better restaurants to eat at in the neighbourhood. They have limited cooking skills and there is no overcoming the poor quality beef they use. Skip this place , the high reviews defy explanation. I was disappointed with the experience.. There is no finesse to the place. People are there eating but nothing exciting is being delivered to the tables. The meats are apparently grouped into 4 countries : Uruguay , Argentina , Brazil and EU. They use small flags to identify the meat when it arrives unseasoned and over cooked. I could not taste any difference, seems like a cheap gimmick. Polite and professional bartender from Barcelona who makes awesome drinks, but the meal is not worth your time or money. Chimichurri sauce is another Epic failure. Their version does not resemble anything you would find in Argentina. Save your $100 euros and eat elsewhere. Platter for two people, meat and a baked potato only with one glass of wine , a cocktail and no appetizers or dessert is close to $100 euros. I am reluctant to post reviews but I just felt compelled to give an honest and fair appraisal of this place, so people know what to expect. The best part was seeing the kitchen staff park themselves outside and haul on their cigarettes in the middle of a dinner service. You can do...

Had dinner with friends here this week but it was a bit of a letdown to be honest. We ordered some bread and garlic butter + olives, shrimps in garlic butter/oil and empanadas. The empanadas were easily the best thing we had all night, you have to try them. The bread was stale, dry and dark meaning the flavor completely overpowered the things we dipped it in. In other photos of the bread, it seems like they do have white bread usually so it looks like they ran out and got the bread from the supermarket that was baked in the morning. Tasted that way, anyways. The shrimps were only 3 tiny things and the oil wasn’t packed with flavor like it could have been. I ordered the skewer with different types of meat, peppers and onions on it. The thicker cuts of meat on the skewer were cooked to perfection but the thinner cuts were overcooked, of course, as everything was grilled the same amount of time (this is basic chemistry). The peppers were nice but the onion was cut into big chunks (too big) and could have used a bit more caramelisation. Cutting them smaller would have done the trick. Again: basic chemistry. All in all a fine experience, but wouldn’t recommend. Service was good. They could use better air ventilation cause the place is quite smoky. They do have a really cute terrace in summer. I recommend ordering just the empanadas and a single piece steak with sides for a better...

Hey there, fellow food enthusiasts! Let me tell you about my meaty adventure at Luna šŸ– So, I we called the restaurant kinda late and fortunately they were able to find us a table for two. +1 knowing how Amsterdam can be challenging for unplanned people. I went all out and ordered the Argentinean 300g steak, cooked to a perfect medium rare. The waitress was kind and reactive, +1. Without further wait this sizzling beauty arrived on my plate, accompanied by a jacked potato and a roquefort sauce, this dish is crazy! I couldn't help but recommend it to anyone with a meat-loving heart. +4 Now, here comes the "but" that always sneaks its way into the picture. While Luna's meat game is on point, we ended up shelling out a whopping 130€ bill for an appetizer, two main courses, two desserts, and some drinks. That's hitting the high notes on Amsterdam's price scale, my friends. -2. All in all, I'll give Luna a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The meat alone is worth the visit, Luna won't disappoint and your wallet might give you a playful slap on the wrist. Enjoy!

Great experience, unmatched Argentinian atmosphere. Nice cozy restaurant offering a variety of wines and delicious meat cuts. Try to stay true to the restaurant and go for a Quilmes beer or a wine from Mendoza and a get yourself a ā€œParrilladaā€ you could finish it up with a flan or a ā€œpastel de corazón de chocolateā€

We were after a good steak and came across Luna whilst investigating good restaurants in the area. The reservation process was completed online and hassle free. The restaurant is really charming and cozy, one could spend hours staring at the bits and bobs covering the walls and nooks. The service was amazing! We were warmly welcomed and taken very good care of during our visit. The food was delicious! We were given complimentary starting plate of bread, butter, olives and a spicy olive oil- a simple but good warm up. For mains we had the Argentinian steak with peppercorn sauce and a side of fries & veggies. The food came quickly and was well prepared and tasty. To drink we had the house red wine which paired perfectly with the steaks. We loved our time in this cozy den.
