MaozFalafel — Restaurant in Amsterdam

Restaurant probably managed by very badly behaving staff ( or waiters ). Looks to be Indians or Hindi speaking Asiaians . Very bad behaving, arrogant staff - all 3 of them. Unprovoked probably racist tinge to their behaviour. Indians abusing and making fun of their customers. Even asking money to clean the tables used by previous customers .

When asked for the status of order replied arrogantly and when order was ready they were shouting at us in a very insulting and humiliating manner to take it away. Had a argument with them . Then instead of being sorry they all were making fun of us. No bill or receipt was issued. On asking for owners contact details we were flatly denied.

One star is for the average food. They claim as vegetarian but one of the sauce contains eggs. The source of oil used to fry is not displayed. Needs to checkout if it is of animal origin.

So Indians please think of above before visiting this place. If owners read this message please contact me. Anand...

Unacceptable, unbelievable. We are in Amsterdam, city where everyone Is supposed to be as desired without being scared of judgment or prejudices. Today I was with a friend (female) who dresses in a more masculine way and when we were ordering the food, the guy who was supposed to serve us, mocked her and asked whether she was a male or female. Well, I can understand that people might get confused sometimes, but most important why the heck he had to ask, what has that to do with his freaking job, if he had doubts why did he mocked us, why he couldn’t just simply do his job????? I am sorry I am actually writing a negative review on a vegan place which was actually quite good, but what happened is unacceptable. This friend of mine is enough strong not to care, but if a young and naive person with self esteem problem went there, do you realize the horrific consequences. Food was alright, but service was HORRIBLE. When we first went in, I asked him if we could place our order very nicely, and he shouted at me, rudely telling me that someone else was going to take our order. Then, when there was a misunderstanding about the change the other guy had given us, the same guy that had raised his voice shouted at us again, going on and on for about 5 minutes about how they didn’t accept €100 bills, so they wouldn’t have given the wrong change. He yelled at us profusely, when it could’ve been settled in a cordial and respectful way. Customer service was one of the worst I’ve ever seen....
