Mima | West — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I am coming in on my partners defense on the review right below me.

We have been Mima’s customers for a few times now, I would say we ordered with them atleast 6 times for delivery and a few more times sit-downs.

Sit downs are fine because you are there then you can correct your order on the spot when they make a mistake.

However,deliveries and takeaways are a a disaster,I think disaster is an understatement because out of all times we have ordered from Mima for delivery all the orders were made wrongly and at some point we ordered 4 bowls we got 2 bowls , we literally had to start cooking because it we didn’t get the 2extra bowls and the lady on the phone said there about to close .

Long story short even after all this my partner never wanted to go back but I kept convincing him to go because I thought the food was amazing and people make mistakes.

UNTIL Last week when we were there made an order for take out and we went home the moment we started eating we realized THE ORDER was not correct AGAIN!!!

We called the restaurant and the lady at the desk was beating around the bush not wanting to accept their mistake. Eventually she did and said they will refund me .I talked to her I didn’t call her names for 10 minutes the only inappropriate thing I said was as “FIX YOUR KITCHEN “ at the end of the call.

You can’t blame me for being pissed and angry after ordering 7times at your restaurant and each order was wrong!!!!

The next day the Manager/customer service emailed me and refunded but also I APOLOGIZED for not being nice at the end of the call.

So please don’t reply to Quintus review by saying that we called your receptionist NAMES because she clearly knows thats not true .

Again Mima has great food but the service is a complete night mare.

I ordered two falafel dishes and what I got was two CHICKEN dishes. As a vegetarian I couldn’t just eat it and I had to throw away all this food. I called the store and I got ZERO solutions for my problem and your mistake. The lady said that she could give me a refund, but that is not a favor, not a solution, that is my right.

As a loyal client, I must say I am really disappointed with your customer service, not a little care at all. On the day before this I also ordered from there with my boyfriend, and we got missing items, but we decided not to complain, bc everyone makes mistakes right? But the next day, it was not missing items, it was a whole order that came ABSURDLY wrong. I am not a costumer who complaints when I can eat my meal even thought is not what I ordered, but that was not the case, it was unfortunate that I threw that away. And guess what, I didn’t got dinner bc it was late as well.

As a person who works with customer service, I must say that Mima really lacks on a good customer oriented service, it is not just from good food that a restaurant is made of. The care of the clients is really really important. I really thought about giving you 1 star, but I guess that is unfair with all the meals I enjoyed there before this unfortunate experience with your customer service.

The place looked great, inside and outside. If you're a tourist, it's a great spot to grab a few bites to eat. There was also a kiosk to order your food, but some of the options for sauces and extra toppings were confusing because it is to add MORE to your dish instead of choosing what is IN your dish. To be clear, the toppings included are the ones shown on the dish description on the board, so you don't have to add anything else on the dropdown because it's already there. Very friendly staff as well, they were very helpful. Onto the food, there was a lo going on. The salad was good but had a lot of sauce, which made it unnecessarily wet and moist. The pita sandwich was tasty as well, although I wish that the ingredients were more evenly distributed inside the sandwich because you get chicken first, then a whole salad of soggy vegetables in the bottom. The pita itself also had a crusty layer of dry herbs and spices, which made it dry and uncomfortable tasting. Everything else was great! Nice spot if you're really hungry for a...
