Amazing bar/restaurant ! I was really amazed by the positive energy of the staff. The restaurant was very well priced. The dished and cocktails were great portions and all were about €8 each. The 2 owners made the restaurant themselves and the 3 people at the bar I spoke to were very nice and were all specialized into something. One of the owners did all the cocktails (very professional) and made an amazing show out of it while explaining what it is and what he’s doing. The girl was from Japan and was very kind and open to us. And the other owner was the chef, he knew all about the dishes and was happily to explain how he made it. The kimchi was amazing. I had a lovely time and some nice conversations! Food was great aswell as the cocktails and the service! They’ve only been open for 7 weeks and are handling it very well. I recommend you come early since they don’t do reservations and there’s only place for about 20-25 people. If you come and there’s no place there’s a waiting list and they will call you if there’s place. You have 10-15 min before they call the next in line. It’s worth it waiting in another cafe in the street until they call you, trust me🌸 Thank you for the lovely evening...
Read moreNice, intimate ambiance. Perfect for date nights / cozy dinners. Service is attentive and kind. I was so excited to go as I love gyozas ánd cocktails! But..
Food and cocktails are not very good. They advertise big with being “the only gyoza bar in the world”, but it really doesn’t mean anything for the quality at least. The gyoza dough is quite thick and tends to make them drier. It tastes more like pasta, than nice authentic fatty gyoza. The filling is often a bit blant/dry too and lacks balanced flavours. The descriptions of everything sound mouth-watering, but the execution really disappoints. The kimchi chicken gyozas with curry foam were the most enjoyable though. And the fried chicken with kewpie mayo was delicious. I’m sorry, but the cocktails are really not tasty. They prioritize making cool moves, adding smoke and fire and cute glasses, but they don’t measure any of the ingredients. The flavour balance is completely off and the passion fruit smoke that they let you smell with one of the drinks reeks of bad shisha.. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I’d only come back for the atmosphere and some fried chicken as...
Read moreWhat a gem! This "pijpenla" (very small restaurant) does not take reservations, but you can simply put yourself on the waiting list should you arrive and they are full. You can have a drink at one of the bars in the neighbourhood and they'll text you once they have a seat for you!
Started with two cocktails (which are not only made for the 'Gram, but are also delicious) and ordered several Gyoza's. All delicious! Also ordered a bottle of sake, following a good recommendation from the knowledgeable owner. Nice touch: if you don't finish the bottle, they will keep it for your next visit!
Ended with the AMAZING cheesecake (it became so popular they stopped selling full cakes to people who wanted it for takeaway) and two other cocktails, while chatting to the two owners (two nephews, both very nice).
The most bizarre is that the prices are absolutely not "Amsterdam level" - The bill for our whole evening, which includes all drinks and food, was only €108. We'll definitely be...
