i feel bad about posting this but i do want others to weigh in that there is a possibility for them to have a similar experience as ours. because our experience was terrible.
mind you, we found this place via (paid) promotion on instagram which totally had another vibe than what we experienced. we picked this place as a bday dinner for me since i LOVE to try different dumplings and that’s what they are supposed to excel at. so the biggest reason we went there was to try all the different dumplings they promote.
we ordered 3 appetizers (fries, 2 stuffed pastry, spicy mung bean noodle rolls) and 3 plates of dumplings accompanied with several different main dishes (fried rice, fried beef noodles, glass noodle beef soup and veggie soup) since we were curious to the tibetan cuisine and decided to treat ourselves because of my bday. the waitress immediately said that the mung bean noodle rolls were out of order and that was completely fine. we just started to wait for the food to arrive as everyone does.
after a portion of the order arrived, which took some time but nothing irritating, we tasted the dishes. what arrived was next: fries fried rice fried noodles glass noodle soup veggie soup 1 plate of dumplings
so we were still missing the most important part of why we came to this place. 2 more of the 3 dumpling dishes we ordered but at that point of time we thought that it might arrive later.
the fries were a nice okay experience, the sauce was pickled and it was something we haven’t had before.
the fried noodles & fried rice immediately tasted way too oily. more than what you expect from a fried dish. we ended up giving the fried rice a 6 but the fried noodles were a 4.
the glass noodle beef soup and veggie soup tasted bland. i don’t want to call it bad since others might like it. we gave it a 2.
the dumplings we got were usual fried dumplings. nothing special, they tasted good. we gave it a 6,5.
after we finished the dishes we waited for quite a lot of time and the restaurant kinda filled up with customers waiting LONG for their order.
30+ minutes after finishing the first part of our order, we were still missing 2 dumpling plates (main dish) AND the 2 filled pastry (appetizer). it felt bad since they obviously were busy with the orders of the other customers but we nicely asked whether our dish was still coming only to hear that something went wrong with our order.. she asked whether we still want it or not so we asked how long it would take? only for her to answer that every thing we originally ordered was out of stock.. after this we asked how long the rice dessert would take and she honestly told that it would take more than 15 mins. we just decided to pay whatever we got and peace out.
so at the end of the day we wasted our time & money without getting what we we originally came for. the things that came were terrible and it took super long for it to take..
this was a genuine review but i do want everyone to realise that this might have been a fluke. it might be possible that the dishes taste better on other days or that you might even like it (even tho i think the odds are against you). nonetheless our experience was terrible.
EDIT: we went again and it was a better experience overall. we bought: shapale jhol momo mokhtuk phin sha
i liked the shapale, jhol momo and mokhtuk. i think the general tibetan cuisine was not my taste but the three dishes i stated before are worth trying. the price is fair for what you get. the person i went with said that the dishes reminded her of the chinese cuisine, so if you want to try something similar but different this is the place to go. we got a discount cuz they wanted to make up for first time but this review is still honest.
EDIT 2 & first and last response to owner: take a look at the screenshots and decide for yourself. i gave you guys another chance because i felt bad since the review got a lot of views and because you guys invited me again.. why would i give a terrible experience another chance if i also had to pay...
Read moreIf food has the power to transport someone to a cherished memory or a distant place, that’s exactly what happened to me today at Momo Tibet.
Having spent almost two years in Delhi, my husband and I often found solace in Majnu Ka Tilla (MKT), a vibrant Tibetan enclave that felt like a world of its own. With its cozy eateries, street food stalls, and little shops, MKT was one of our favorite hangouts—a place filled with warmth, comfort, and incredible flavors.
Today, as I took my first bite at Momo Tibet, I was instantly transported back to those MKT days. The authenticity of the food was undeniable—they haven’t altered a thing to cater to Western palates, and for that, I’m truly grateful. We ordered the chicken momos, jhol momos, thenthuk, and beef fried rice—each dish bursting with flavor and nostalgia. It was so much more than just a meal; it was a wave of memories, a taste of home. I nearly had tears in my eyes as familiar flavors unlocked moments I hadn’t revisited in years.
The warmth wasn’t just in the food—the staff was incredibly kind, and the ambiance felt inviting, almost like stepping into someone’s home. Yes, there was a bit of a wait before the food arrived, but in a place with such a lovely atmosphere, time didn’t matter.
For me, Momo Tibet filled both my heart and my stomach. Please, please don’t change a thing—I can’t...

I wish I did not have to write this because there are only glowing reviews of the food here and it is also not my intention to slander this place but I am hoping our experience was limited to only the items we ordered and not anything else in the restaurant. My partner and I had an extremely underwhelming experience at this place. We ordered 'chicken mokthuk' and 'chicken thukpa' and I cannot emphasize on how flavorless the broths were. And not only that, the dumplings in the mokthuk had such a thick outer layer (dumpling wrapper) that it felt like biting into a mouthful of flour. The filling in the dumplings were not great either. The chicken pieces in the thukpa were all chewy chunks of tasteless chicken breast pieces. Even very simple food can be flavorful but I am very disheartened to say that was not our experience. It is my sincere hope that this review will not be seen as a reflection on Tibetan cuisine whatsoever but just as an observation limited to the 2 dishes we tried and perhaps this restaurant's interpretation of the same. Having said that, I wish only success for people trying to bring out their national cuisines but I also hope that they are open to a difference in...
