Unfortunately I can not grade this restaurant better than 2 stars out of 5. I even would go this far to say it is a "South axis-trap" (Zuidas-val). I went there for the birthday of my partner (which was acknowledged by the staff member making a 'reminder phone call' two days ahead of the booking. I inspected the restaurant when I made the booking (around 2 months prior to today) and asked for a 'quiet' table - nothing is really quite on A Friday night with all the hussle and bussle going around here but in the end this requirement was met as we were sat far from the kitchen almost in one of the corners. Nothing went wrong with the food. It is creative, fusion-style (chef is Indian and sous-chef Israelian). Portions are small which might be an issue for some of you - not so much for us. What was disturbing though, from the beginning, wine was served late with every course. We were almost halfway through the course and then the wine came. Normally wine is served ahead of the course. We had least 4 if not more different waiters attending our table in the course of the evening - utter chaos. Irish coffee is non-existent!? For such an international style restaurant unacceptable. My partner's birthday? Nothing was done in extra. Utterly disappointing. So summarizing, food is very good and close to Michelin-star. Service is sub-par. Prices are at Michelin star level though. We did not...

The attention to detail in both presentation and taste was truly impressive. The wine selection was extensive and perfectly complemented the varied and excellent food. The staff's knowledge of the wine list was exemplary, and their recommendations were spot on. It's evident that they take great pride in curating a wine list that enhances the dining experience. What truly set Nela apart was the impeccable service. The staff's attentiveness and knowledge of the menu made the evening feel like a personalized culinary journey. Their passion for what they do was palpable, and it enhanced the overall experience.Nela is undoubtedly a restaurant I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Amsterdam. Following Excellence: A Perfect Meal at Nela Amsterdam

We loved Nela London so much (it's just 100 steps from our apartment!) that we immediately booked a reservation at Nela Amsterdam during our four-day getaway—a first for us to follow an international chef!

The experience was simply incredible. We were honored that Chef Ori remembered us and was kind enough to stop by for a quick chat and a selfie. (Note to self: I need to work on my selfie skills—the photo was blurred, but the memory isn't! I'll let my husband take the photo next time we cross paths in London.)

We had a fantastic view sitting at the Chef’s Kitchen Counter and watched in awe as the team moved in unison—it's truly a well-oiled machine. The live fire kitchen presents such excitement as steaks, vegetables, and seabass are cooked with flair on the grills and in the clay oven. It’s an art form. We even watched Chef Alberto and Chef Jasper perfectly execute our made-to-order ribeye.

We felt like celebrities when Chef Ori sent over a complimentary caviar starter, followed by a freshly made dessert from Chef Julia. Our server, Matilda, was wonderfully attentive, and Florentene gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. Both Nela locations have definitely perfected the art of cooking seasonal ingredients that truly come to life through fire and modern techniques. We can't...
