Oma's Friet Amsterdam — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I’ve been a loyal customer of this place for years because, in my opinion, they serve the best fries in Amsterdam. The potatoes are always perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, with a deliciously rich flavor that’s hard to beat.

However, I’ve noticed some changes recently that are a bit disappointing. The prices have gone up quite a bit, and at the same time, the portion sizes have become noticeably smaller. While the quality of the fries remains excellent, the value for money isn’t what it used to be.

I still recommend this spot for anyone looking to try some of the best fries in Amsterdam, but be prepared to pay a little more...

Really tasty fries and the sauce tasted like it was homemade. I just got a small size and this was more than adequate in terms of the amount of fries received. The fries were delicious and had a nice crispy finish to them and reasonably priced. I chose the garlic sauce to accompany the fries and it was nice and fresh tasting with a bit of a zest taste to it. They also sell croquettes from Holtkamp too, which if anyone knows, they are also...

I liked the service: the guy was friendly and smiling. It took ~4 mins to get my French fries. Which was nice in a combination with mayo. (I personally didn’t like the other sauce - something with the nuts most likely). Bare in mind that this is small (!) portion. The price for small frenchi + two sauces...
