After experiencing a stunning light and sound show at the Noorderkerk in the Jordaan, I stopped for lunch just around the corner from the church. The restaurant had a trendy, inviting interior with comfortable seating and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service. The menu included an "All Day" selection of dishes available throughout the day, as well as options served at specific times. I opted for a simple yet flavorful dish: melted cheese with bread and vegetables for dipping—a truly heavenly choice. For dessert, I tried the carrot cake, which was equally delicious. Portion sizes were perfect—not too large, just right. I can highly recommend this spot, especially if you’re visiting on a Saturday during the famous Noordermarkt. I will certainly visit again in the future.

This is my favorite spot if i am at the Farmer's market on Saturdays. All though the owner is changed and the name is now Pequ, im coming here for the spot. Have not eaten anything yet, just had a warm chocolate milk with cream. They do gave me the real "thing" i mean the real chocolate, which it would be smelting it by itself in the glass...well a bit with my help though.6

We walked in here because the line at Winkel next door was long. It was the first stop on our trip! The staff was so welcoming, despite us being tired, fresh off the plane Americans. The tuna toast was one of my favorite meals of all time. And the mushroom soup was light and refreshing! It was so good we had to go back for our last meal before we left Amsterdam.

Was pretty bad experience overall. Told us to sit outside even though there was tables inside ..ok maybe they were reserved on a Wednesday at 6 ..

Was 4 of us we order 1 burger (medium) came out well done, and 3 steak frittes 2 med rare well under med rare hard medium whatever fine, 1 medium was closer to med well almost no pink in it . They brought dishes as they were getting done, got the first two steaks then 8 minutes passed and we had to ask if the other food was coming out. Was about 10 minutes before the rest of the food made it to the table. Then asked for salt vlbecause the steak was not seasoned at all, we received the salt when I had 4 slices of the steak left .

But here is the turning point that was just not making sense .. 3 steak frittes we received 2 sides, we asked if we would get the 3rd sides and the waiter said if you want more we will bring more .. ok so 3 people 2 sides .. we finished and asked for more , 15 minutes later we got more fries... Finally we were fed up and asked for the check... They charged for the extra side lol what a joke. We then asked why we order 3 steak frittes and got charged for extra fries and salad .. 10 euro is not a lot but it was the principle. Went to get another server and he said oh we combined the two but all the bowls were the same exact size .. then he said yea it's a question that comes up a lot ... Maybe give out 3 sides with 3 entree ?!

Waste of money bill was 140 euro go somewhere else plenty of better restaurants...

The most unpleasant service I ever met. I had 1 hour and decided to - have cup of coffee and something to eat. it was around 11 AM. We set with my wife outside. To bring us menu we were waiting at least 7 minutes. It was really too long and after that I decided to measure waiting time. waiter did not say anything about load or whatever. just throw menu and did not even bother herself to clean table after previous visitors. Ok. weather was good, we made our choice and were waiting. after 20(!!!) minutes nobody came. I was quite upset, and enter in to say, what's going on and why I should wait not even for my order be ready, but just to make the order. you know the answer? "You must come down. we are very busy" What?! They are busy? with what they are so busy, that can't come and take order within 20 minutes?! If you are sooo busy, should not you tell me, when brought me menu? No? and this "come down" - what is this? with whom they are talking like this? they marinaded me half an hour and expect me to be calm? While waiting, I saw, how one of the workers left this so called "restaurant" and came back in 15 minutes. and believe, he was not running back to his clients. (looking at the uniform - most probably -cook). i don't know, what make them so busy, because tables were occupied a bit more than a half. So, if you want to avoid rudeness, if you don't want to listen from waiter that you must shut up and don't bother her, because she is busy -...

This was the worst experience. I came to the restaurant on the recommendation of friends, hoping to have a lovely lunch with my son. But everything went wrong from the start.

After placing our order, my son and I stepped outside for 5–10 minutes to get some fresh air while waiting for the food. When we returned, we were told we had to place the order all over again.

Then, we waited an extremely long time for our food. I had specifically asked for the cheeseburger without tomato, but my request was ignored and it arrived with tomato. They took it back and brought another one — this time without tomato, but completely cold.

At that point, I had lost all appetite, and unfortunately, the staff did absolutely nothing to make up for the situation. I had to refuse the cold cheeseburger, yet still had to pay for the entire meal.

And to top it all off, when I was leaving and took my paid-for Coca-Cola in a glass bottle, I was told to pour it into a plastic cup. I guess that was the restaurant’s idea of a “complimentary gesture” for the ruined lunch.

There was no apology, no gesture of goodwill — just poor service and a ruined lunch. Not...
