Listen to the reviews saying the service is bad- it makes the food taste bad as well; I really wish I could say the food was good but it was so MEDIOCRE. Our pasta wasn’t even cooked fully?!
Anyways: AVOIDDDDD!! This is the rudest restaurant I have ever been to. The worst owner, waiters, - the entire staff. I have been a food critic for years, baking my own food, cooking authentic Mediterranean food and this is my first time leaving a review because of how awful my family and I were treated. We asked for some red crushed hot pepper for the pasta (we like a little bit of a spice). After asking the owner, who banged our food on the table as he brought it to us, he yelled at us asking “why would you want that?” Then, he got his entire staff to yell at us saying we don’t know what we’re doing - made an entire scene. We’re customers, just asking for crushed red pepper; I’ve lived in Italy for 6 years and this is something that is COMMON to ask for when eating pizza or pasta. After insisting he bring it, after his and his entire staffs terrible attitude, he brought the pepper saying “don’t ever talk to me again.” I wish I could say this was a joke but he was so childish about the entire incident- asking for PEPPER is not a personal attack. Don’t come here. There is a nicer restaurant right around the block from here. The owner also had a fight with the table outside- gave them the worst attitude and saw them baffled as well.
Again, the food is so mediocre. The red pasta we order wasn’t even cooked - was so hard. Poor taste, awful service. Maybe if they were nicer, the food would taste a...

We came in at around 9.25pm for dinner, and the restaurant had a few empty seats. We got 2 pastas to share and they were both average at best. Portions were small as well.
When we were trying to make payment, we realised they had mistakenly charged us 6.25€ for water, even though we only had tap water. We tried to inform the more senior server or owner. He saw we were holding cash, and was visibly very irritated, and said that he didn’t have enough change for us.
After realizing he overcharged us and passing us the amended bill, he berated us for ordering two pastas and having tap water, and said “this is not that kind of restaurant”. We were baffled by his unprofessional behavior. After reading the reviews here we realised we weren’t the only ones who dealt with his rude attitude.
The only positive point about this restaurant was that the other waiter who served us was polite and friendly. Overall the food was subpar with very limited items, so don’t worry, we...
Read more3.5/5 A cozy Italian restaurant in a central location in Amsterdam. It was recommended to us, so we stopped by for a dinner for 2. We tried their raw beef with black truffle, the truffle was flavorful and the dish was well made. For mains, we had their white truffle fettuccine and the special octopus stew. Again, the truffle sauce was delicious but the pasta was a bit on the stale side. The octopus stew, though, was a winner for me. One of the better octopus dishes I've tried in the Netherlands, it was cooked the right amount: not chewy or dry. Served in a tomato-based stew with garlic bread, it was really well made.
They also have a decent wine menu to pair with the dishes, and the atmosphere is very cozy with white tablecloths. We were happy with the service overall, the staff was attentive and our dishes arrived fast. We would come back to try...
