This is the first time I’m ever writing a review, but this bar/restaurant was really one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had in Amsterdam. Firstly, when we came in, they seated us at the worst table/(bar?) ever. It is Valentine’s Day, we reserved a table but they told us they couldn’t seat us at a table (there were 2 free and called got a reservation for one?). We explained multiple to multiple waiters and waitresses that we were really disappointed and dissatisfied with where we were seated, a small bar in the corner where you can barely sit with two people (photo was made with 0,5, it was a lot smaller than it looks, but couldn’t move back to take a good picture because I had NO room) and all the menus were laying right behind us (we had to sit against the shelf because we had absolutely no space), so there was constantly a waitress or waiter listening to our conversation. After talking to the 5th waiter, they offered us one free drink for the both of us on the house. After that we were seated to a better place, still no table but a bit more room for us to move. The atmosphere was terrible, it was Valentine’s Day but they didn’t try to put “love in the air” it felt like a factory, seat, eat, pay, leave. Lastly the food, it was not good, it was alright. But the price you’re paying isn’t worth what you’re getting. We had a bites and starters mix, everything was sort of “meh”. Drinks were also not great, got my free drink, a pornstar martini, didn’t even get the passion fruit and it was way too sweet. Sadly, our Valentines...
Read moreIt’s been almost month from our first (and 100% the last) visit to this place. First impression was intriguing - all these loud messages on the web about “inspiring atmosphere, sharing thoughts and ideas”made us to make reservation here for a birthday dinner. But we got the worst “party” ever and had to find where to have something more than tiny sharing plates at 10 PM in the foreign city. To be clear: we rescheduled our visit twice, it might be “guest red flag” or whatever, but we notified both times and asked whether it would be possible to order dinner. And waiter said yes, but the last order for kitchen would be at 21:45. We came at 21:40 with literally prepared list of what we want and here is the “best” part begins. Waitress were absolutely unwelcome and rude, behave like “we don’t care”. We were gaslighted that she said 21:30, not 21:45, so “it’s too late”. Seemed that staff tried to “give a good lesson”, but why? So, we ordered sides to cover the prepaid amount and left, no one even said “goodbye”. Waitress brought us chupa-chups and the whole situation started looking even worse after this gesture…
You present your place like “close to Michelin”, you knew about the occasion we had and didn’t try to make it even 1% better. Moreover, the booking was prepaid, why you didn’t ask about pre-order then if it’s so strict about closing kitchen time? Your insta is all about “how you can spend there the best birthday in your life”. Well, we will never...
Read moreOysters for €1,5 - just too good to be true! You making reservation a few days in advance, making prepayment, but when you’re coming they say that it’s ONLY 2 OYSTERS PER PERSON!🤣
Your marketing in instagram and so on about “oyster Wednesday” without saying about any limits maybe will give you a few coins for those 2 oysters when shocked people which didn’t expect this will order those 2 oysters but more you making people disappointed and sad about wasting time to get there! Ridiculous!
AVOID if you want to have a good time
UPD: Your employee didn't say a word about any rounds, she said that 2 oysters per person and that's it. For now, I don't even say much about the fact that this information is not available either when booking or in your advertisement. I will not delete anything, these are your problems of your restaurant that the employees cannot adequately express the rules regarding this and there is no need to point arrows at me that I did not understand something. I understood what I was told. Learn to communicate with people and maybe then there will be no complaints...
