We were looking for something near Haarlammerplein and found the Roode Remise. It didn't look like a typical touristy luxrious restaurant. But that's what gives the charm of this restaurant. We were a party of four, and came after a movie, were lucky enough to catch the tail end of one of their music events, which was wonderful. The atmosphere was cozy, very comfortable, the service was great, and the food was very good all around, but our favorite dish was the white asparagus soup, it was amazing, oh and the cheesecake dessert...

Lovely place connected with a legendary little theater in the center of Amsterdam. Excellent food and very friendly service. Art on the walls, easy atmosphere and good music. There is a piano and children had fun drawing and playing on the square....
