Nice food but horribly arrogant staff. The blond girl was taking our order like she was making us a big favor. I was talking Dutch and she said very arrogant 'I don't understand you and turned around to another cusomer'. I was sitting like, hello, I'm sorry, you could have kindly asked me if I could speak English, appoligizlse for not speaking Dutch, smile, ask me to repeat in English, all good, but not just walk away. It took over 30 minutes to prepare our order of 2 toasts... And after 20 minutes when we asked where our order is, I got the same arrogant 'you should wait it will come'. Again no sorry for taking it so long, no explanation why. I asked for ketchup twice and (that same blond lady and another male waiter) and never got it, they both forgot... When I asked for carrot juice that was in the menu, I was told you do bot serve it. I showed the menu and got as response 'I told you we do not serve it'. Again no sorry, no explanation why the juice that was in the menu is not availible. Tip to the management: you have a great menu, but change your staff who's ruining it for you big time. It's not the language (often in Amsterdam staff speaks only english), it's not that they forget and don't smile. Everyone can have a bad day. They are just rude from the start and during the whole service. No way I go to breakfast club again. You eat out for the pleasant experience, not only for good food and there are plenty nice cafes in 2min walking distance with good food and friendly staff. I was there where on 7.1.2018 around 15:00 check out who was...

As a local of Amsterdam, I wanted to see what this place was all about. From the outside, it looks nice, but when you get inside, the horror starts.
The service feels rude and far from personal. Was there with my family and small baby.
Some tables were empty, but no seat was offered. We waited for 15 min. Then we walk to a table to take a seat. Finally, someone approached us. So I got happy. Then the young lady tells me the seats are already taken. Okay, I asked if we could take a seat at 2 other empty seats. This was also not a possibility because they don't take Tables apart. The people at the table where nice and said to the waitress that it wasn't a problem for them. But see said No.
We waited another 10 min with the baby in our hands. Finally, I asked one of the other waitress if there was a table free. See looked at the me with a dead face and without saying anything showed us a table.
The order took a long time, and the glass of milk for the baby that I ordered in front. like 15 minutes.
Finally, the food and drings came. The bread was dead, and all the other stuff felt like a sugar bomb. If you are in without expecting anything, it's fine. If not. It's a bad experience.
Most people inside are tourists and expats.
We left and didn't look back. I got to say this was a new experience in the city I love.
But this place is definitely...
Read moreDisappointing experience. Six of us dining outside, all of whom ordered through the online QR system. Three of us received (mostly) the dishes we had ordered, while the rest sat without food or drinks. After 30 minutes without being checked on, we went to ask about the other dishes, and very told someone would be with us in a second. Obviously the initial three had finished eating by this point. After no one came to check up on us, we went back inside to be told our orders had never gone through and so we'd need to reorder. When we explained that the payments had gone through on our end (i.e. money left accounts), a manager told us to repurchase our orders, and should the money from the first transaction not be refunded in the next few days we should return and find her to rectify it. There was no apology for any of this and it rubbed me the wrong way. Fortunately after protesting she agreed to just put an order through for us manually, instead of us having to pay online a second time. The food was fine when it arrived, albeit a...
