Snackbar 't Centrum — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I ordered some fries which were 2,75 on the menu. However, when I went to pick up the order, he wanted to charge 3,05 because I was paying with pin, and said 2,75 was for those paying cash.

I asked him to show me where it says that it costs extra to pay with a pinpass and he says it's common knowledge in the Netherlands. I told him that's BS because this never happens anywhere else - you pay what is on the menu. I also run a coffee bar and we dont charge people extra for using pin because that's what normal people do.

I told him that I'm not paying more than 2,75 because that's what it says on the menu. Otherwise I'm leaving.

He chose to stick with the scam, lose 2,75 and throw out perfectly good food....

first order i thought it a one of a kind frituur. but after al my dreams went to shambles. kipkorns not crusty, kaasouffles not fried long enough. and worst of all whenn the boss tuinks yourw drunk he makes up a price. rhats the prblem with amsterdam. al lot of olaces that offer dutch soul food, but none that respect it. the ease of dutch snacks doesnt mean that it has to taste cheap. theres alot of places in the netherlands you can taste...

On one hand I am sad that McDonalds and similar big chains are taking over the local fast food market but on the other hand places like this make it clear why that happens.

And they charge extra if you want to pay by card??? Who in amsterdam has cash on them these...
