Stefs Bakery — Restaurant in Amsterdam

What a bakery! Talk about above and beyond...we have recently visited Steffs bakery and had the most delicious sandwich and the hot chocolate is super strong but amazing at the same time!

We visited the next day and this time I got a sandwich. I told them I was allergic to nuts, and I have never witness customer service like it, they prep'd a new area, different gloves (standard I hear you say) ok, but then they open everything new? So a new pack of ham and a new piece of bread, ensuring NOTHING would cross contaminate this sandwich.

As they mentioned when they give me the sandwich if they are super busy, they can't accommodate us, they simply don't have time so they will turn you away, but honestly I respect that. I would rather them be thorough and know themselves they are doing the right thing than most companies that say 'we can't guarantee it' and let you crack on to buy what they have.

Would defiantly visit again, they were without a doubt the best sandwich...

I had this place recommended by my tattoo artist. He wasnt lying. I had the salmon sandwich and the pastrami. Both were delicious. The coffee was the best i had in a while, and their hawaii juice had mango in it kinda expected pineapple there but it was delicious anyway The team working there is diverse and clearly all have love for their cafe!.

The only downside is that it feels a bit cramped. They have done what they can with the place and dressed it up nicely. And there is still place to sit for 8-12 people.

The cramped bit must feel different for everyone ofcourse. taking into account that i am a giant of 2 metres and 150kg of pure "muscle"

Terrible experience! As soon as we entered, we felt unwelcome due to strange looks from the staffs. When we asked for the WiFi password for an urgent meeting, they refused, excusing ‘security reasons.’ They also claimed there were limited tables and didn’t allow laptops, even though we assured them we’d stay for just 30 minutes. The atmosphere was uncomfortable, with judgmental stares even while ordering. Overpriced, no restroom, and overall unwelcoming. To make it worse, we later found out the staff member who treated us this way was Turkish....
