Worst customer services ever. We came in, and nobody came to talk to us, the 3 members of the staff where talking between each other, one on the phone and another one behind the bar drinking something, I looked at them they looked at me, again no words no signals nothing, so we sat down in a table in the corner, after 2 minutes a lady with the afro hair came extremely rude and told me "this table is reserved" no, good evening no excuse me no nothing, just this table is reserved with a bad face, I said yes sorry I understand but nobody was at the entrance when we came in, she said again "OK but this table is reserved, do you have a reservation? You need to move now" I said "again how can we know? We came in nobody serve us and we sat, we don't have a reservation, we can move without any problem. She rolled her eyes and shake her hands, me and my mom stand up and I asked my mom to leave. Seriously? What's wrong with her? So we left, even though we were starving. What kind of welcoming is that? Oh wait, maybe we didn't look as fancy as we should in her opinion 🤔? Don't know. Thank you anyway for a bad experience.
Updated I can't believe such an arrogant answer from you, that's probably why your staff behaves that way. First of all in every city and restaurant things works different, and the right thing to do is or have a sign to wait there or staff ask POLITELY "just wait a few minutes please" not just ignore us, and then IF we offended them so badly apparently, why they didn't offer us another table? Why they didn't said no even good evening? So we as a tourist supposed to know exactly how you want us to do everything and then even tho I said SORRY to your arrogant staff she carry on with her bad attitude without offering any table when was only 3 tablets occupied of at least 10 tables. When we came back from another restaurant that absolutely behaved politely like I explained previously, your restaurant was still only 4 tables occupied 1 hour later, just one more table. So no need to be so rude for such a little thing with your customers, let me remind you, the ones that keep you open and earning a wage. I'm glad we didn't get to "enjoy your restaurant". And I'd advice you, level up your arrogance specially with tourist that doesn't know what you are expecting so rigorously from them. Otherwise, you gonna lose your...
Read moreWe want to the meets for a celebratory dinner and had a lot of fun.
The interior design is nice and inviting, we took the regular restaurant tables but there are also couches that might be more comfortable for a hours setting.
The food overall was great, although a bit small and expensive for the size, there was nothing that really made us say WOW but we both thought everything was tasty and would definitely come back to try the dishes we didn’t eat.
One thing I would improve on - bring more bread with the cheese platter, the max & bien cheeses are great but having little to no bread with them felt sad.
We ordered the Chef’s menu, 4 dishes chosen by the chef. For us it was the:
Tomato and chickpeas soup - which was ok tasting, not really special and we would’ve like the chickpeas to be a little more soft.
Cauliflower entree - that once was better, the cauliflower was very tasty and above it there were some potato pieces and a piece of fresh truffle. The sauce was great and everything combined tasted and felt good, I didn’t really feel like the truffle made an impact but my partner thought it did.
Meets Wellington main - their take on a beef Wellington was super tasty and looked amazing, the pastry was flaky in a good way and the meat inside was nice. The sauce was good, the potatoes were great and the mushrooms were the BEST.
Chocolate mousse with berries and peanut brittle dessert - I loved it, the mousse was really firm compared to other plant based mousses I’ve eaten and the peanut brittle was super tasty.
We also ordered the focaccia that was very tasty and garlicky and the fried oyster mushrooms which were SUPER tasty and the best value for money in my opinion. I would’ve liked to have them with some lime on them...
Read moreI went to the meets with my boyfriend in April 2023 and it was just an amazing experience.
It wasn't just a meal; it was a symphony for the senses. From the first bite, I was transported on a culinary journey where the freshest, most vibrant vegetables took center stage. Each dish was a masterpiece of composition, with ingredients artfully combined to create flavor explosions. The vegetables themselves were the stars, bursting with natural sweetness and earthiness. They weren't overshadowed by heavy sauces or greasy preparations, but rather highlighted and complemented by seasonings and accompaniments that danced on the palate. Loved the beetroot tartare and the arancini ! everything was soo delicious.
The meets it's for anyone who appreciates innovative, delicious and local food. They've redefined vegetarian cuisine, proving that plant-based meals can be just as exciting and satisfying as anything else on the menu. If you're looking for a dining experience that will tantalize your taste buds and leave you wanting more, look no further than The Meets. In the end we had a nice talk with Federico and it was just amazing to discover more about his devotion and dedication ! Such a good...
