Unsettling Dining Experience at Trattoria Pizzeria Da Damiano:
My recent visit to Trattoria Pizzeria Da Damiano left me deeply unsettled and disappointed due to the behavior of one of the waiters, which marred what could have been an enjoyable meal.
Upon entering, I was initially charmed by the restaurant's ambiance and cozy decor. However, the atmosphere quickly turned uncomfortable when our waiter, whose name I later learned was the waiter, began exhibiting intrusive behavior that crossed personal boundaries.
Throughout the evening, the waiter continuously hovered around our table, displaying overly familiar gestures that made me increasingly uneasy. His persistent attempts at engaging in personal conversation, coupled with unwelcome physical contact like touching my shoulder and arm, made it challenging to relax and enjoy the dining experience.
What made matters worse was the waiter repeatedly disregarding my stated preferences. Despite politely declining alcohol and requesting a different beverage, he insisted on pushing alcoholic drinks, making me feel pressured and uncomfortable.
The tipping point occurred when, against my explicit refusal, the waiter attempted to force a glass of wine to my lips, stating, "You must drink." This crossed a serious line and left me feeling deeply distressed and humiliated.
Regrettably, the unsettling encounter overshadowed any positives the restaurant might have offered. Despite the potential of the menu and the overall pleasant ambiance, the discomfort caused by the waiter's behavior tainted the entire experience.
It's disheartening to write such a review, but I feel compelled to warn others about the unwelcome and inappropriate conduct I experienced. A dining experience should be enjoyable and respectful, and unfortunately, my encounter with this waiter at Trattoria Pizzeria Da Damiano failed to meet these basic expectations.
I sincerely hope the management takes appropriate measures to address such behavior to ensure a welcoming and harassment-free environment for all patrons in the future.
Edit: I went back there last week. The waiter was just as crazy as ever. He even tried to push me. I ran away as fast as I could. Never going back...

At first there was no problems, we were seated and the head waiter proceeded to ask us what we would like to drink, my friend ordered wine and i asked for lemonade. He seemed shocked that i said this and told me I should also order wine. I kindly declined and stuck with my lemonade. He brought the drinks back and then asked what we would like to eat, whilst were informing him of our meal choice, the head waiter kept rubbing my arm and shoulder which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. My friend also felt uncomfortable watching this and tried to get him to leave the table. After our starters arrived, he brought someone out from inside and kept pointing over at us ( again making me feel more uncomfortable). Our food arrived and as were about to eat, the waiter comes over and gets the glass of wine and brings it to my lips and says "I must drink" I pushed his hand away and couldn't help but feel mortified. We decided to leave straight after. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
Update: I have emailed you with a picture of the waiter.
Also your last entry was in Dutch. I have translated it and I'm okay with that. As i have evidence and i have a witness. I've not wrote to discredit your food, but to make you aware of how your waiter has made me feel and make others...

Waitress comes out with big bottle of water that we would be charged for and when we said how come we can’t get a jug of water like the table next to us she tried to make up an excuse on the spot stumbling saying oh they ordered something else beforehand, even though our order included a pizza and pasta dish. She proceeded to open the bottle water and she said it’s too late she’s already opened it. I just felt a bit targeted or taken advantage of as a tourist as not many people would probably pick up or notice that. We ended up leaving as we didn’t feel welcomed and will go to one of the many beautiful restaurants we have visited in this area that do not act like this. Happy to pay for bottled water if this is the only option available but was more the principle of the situation that we couldn’t have table water even though the locals next...
