Twenty Third Bar — Restaurant in Amsterdam

The most unethical service I ever experienced. Especially from a bar tender, that we are used to trust. We asked for options for Japanese whiskey. We were shown bottles, not the list. We randomly chose on of the options (I am not an expert in whiskey) based on the trust of the recommendation. When the bill came these was the most expensive whiskey in the bar, a total above the minimum wage in many countries. This bar is absolutely beautiful. We booked to go for New Year's Eve so that we could see the fireworks from the 23rd floor at midnight. The view did not disappoint and with the huge windows on all sides, we had our choice of firework displays to watch! I really think it would be hard to beat the panoramic view that we got!

The whole place oozed luxury, and the staff were very friendly. As you'd expect, with such a premium location comes premium prices. The price for a half pint of Heineken was eye-watering at ~ 6EUR.

The bar is GREAT for a date and for 2 people only. The way this bar is arranged is that it only lets 2 people sit comfortably. If you're 4, then you're all sitting right next to each other. (You can see in my photo) this is why I gave it a 4 stars. We tried corner seats (2 on one corner and 2 on the other corner) but it was still difficult.

Drinks are good! Food also. Typical prices in this kind of hotel so just know this before you go. I already knew how much I was gonna spend before going there.
