We came here because my niece wanted to try Dutch pancakes. Our party was large 8 people so we split into two tables. The food was ok. Not great. Not bad. The service was absolutely horrible. We were seated and our order was taken quick enough and that’s when the customer service ended. The restaurant was not very busy and there was plenty of staff walking around. The food arrives and I ask for some hot sauce to the server who acted annoyed that I had asked for something. My brother and I waited and waited and waited and nothing. I’m sure the rude server was just mad I asked for sauce at a restaurant. How dare I make such an unreasonable request. We tried to get somebody’s attention but was completely ignored the staff avoids eye contact so they don’t have to do anything. I finally got up and walked the 10 feet to the bar behind us and got my own sauce. Nobody ever came to the table not once to see how we were doing. Might as well have been at a self service cafeteria. Next our table ran out of water and so did my niece’s table. Again with a half empty restaurant and staff everywhere we tried to get somebody to notice that we needed water and were once again ignored by the rude and careless staff. I again got up and walked to the bar to beg for water for our two tables. We were all made to feel like we were a bother to these rude staff and servers instead of valued guests. This is what happens when you go to a tourist spot where the staff could not care less about you or whether you would return. The owner should be ashamed of his restaurant on this day.

Thank you JOHN for the service. The food was good. I went to the bathroom there were 4 doors the first two said it was for male n female but the doors were locked. So I thought oh maybe that’s for the employees. I went to the next two doors and used the female restroom. The toilet had dried poop on it so I had to line the toilet of course. Then I used a little tissue and it was EMPTY. Both sides…. There was NOT any extra tissue under the sink either. I had to put my clothes partially back on leave out this restroom and go into the male restroom to get tissue to finish cleaning off. On top of that there was no air back there so I’m sweating in the process of having to take down a swim suit and a dress multiple times to use the restroom and to go to another restroom. I spoke to the manager TESS and all she said was okay I’ll go check. THATS IT….. not the response a manager should give for the horrible experience. Then I went to pay the bill because yes they still charged me for the food and didn’t comp or discount one thing for this hassle. They charged me 3.75 when the menu said 3.50 so I asked about it and they said oh yeah the prices are out dated. I advised they should let customers know that. Then they said the bathroom I actually used was NOT there’s it belongs to the restaurant next door. WHAT…… they said that door should have been locked there guest only use the last restroom. NOT one sign that said that so how would a customer know that. No apology, no tissue, no up to date prices no bueno.

Very clean and well kept. While I have never been to the Netherlands, it appears they were going for a Dutch feel. The staff was great, very friendly. Our waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable. He was able to give us tips and suggestions that made our selection process easier. The food was prepared and served quickly. The portion sizes are pretty big. Our drinks, a Caramel Frappe and Chocolate Frappe, were delicious. The homemade Stroopwafel was also very enjoyable and paired very well with a light & sweet American Coffee. Despite all that, their breakfast was just ok. I wouldn't say any of our meals were bad, but they weren't exactly memorable. Like I said, they were just ok. And as someone else mentioned in their review, their breakfast options seemed limited. We tried the Oreo pancake and it was not our cup of tea. We also had The Healthy Sandwich and Uitsmijter. They were pretty bland in flavor. They definitely have a lot of Dutch pancake options. If that's your thing, give it a try.

We unfortunately had an experience today that was insulting, at best. No one would serve us, or even acknowledge us. I've never experienced anything like it, and am shocked it happened in tourist-friendly Aruba, of all places. My husband and children and I went for breakfast, and first we stood at the hostess stand outside for probably 10 minutes. The restaurant was maybe half full and servers kept walking by and avoiding eye contact. No, "Someone will be right with you," or anything like that. Finally a server from the restaurant next door came over from their patio and intervened on our behalf, and asked a Willem's server to help us. That should have been my cue to leave, but we'd already eaten at the restaurant next door and really wanted to try Willem's. We were relunctantly led to a table, and then completely ignored for the next 25 minutes. Again, it was not full and there were at least three servers walking around helping others. Not a single one of them said hello, made eye contact, or offered us anything--not even menus. A table of four men were seated next to us, 10 minutes after us, and they were greeted and helped. I am completing baffled, and like I said in the beginning, really insulted. We had our children with us, but they were quiet and well-behaved. We kept trying to wave someone down but it was like we were purposely being ignored, and I have no idea why. Finally we got up and left. I saw two servers notice, and they said nothing. It was hands-down the worst and most bizarre experience I've ever had at...
