Unfortunately, me and my wife’s experience did not match the rest of the reviews we saw here.

We are visiting for our honeymoon and thought it would be nice to have dinner by the fireworks during Punta Vibes. We requested a table with a good view of the fireworks when making our reservation. However, when we got there, we were first sat under the area with a roof over it. I asked the waiter if we would even be able to see the fireworks from there and he said no. I had to let him know that we wanted a view of the fireworks and thankfully he was able to seat us at another table with a view. It really soured the experience to initially feel disregarded like that. At least if there was some kind of communication we would have understood but there was none. No apology either.

The service afterwards was disappointing as well especially after having our expectations set high by the other reviews. We seemed to get less interaction than other tables. I don’t know if we even got our server’s name. Others were checked up on regularly and had their orders taken even when they arrived after us.

The food was underwhelming considering how much we paid. Definitely overpriced. I had the seafood pasta and my wife had the vermicelli dish. Her Sprite tasted watered down.

The part that really threw us off is that the server asked if we wanted to tip. This is the only spot here where we had that happen. Normally we pay for what we ordered with no tip option and potentially leave a cash tip, but to have that asked imposes it on the customer. Hopefully that practice doesn’t spread to other places here.

Nice spot if you want a view of the water, but overall I cannot recommend at least on a...

An excellent dining experience!

We are visiting Curacao for the first time and staying at the Sandals Royal Curacao, but we haven't been impressed by the food at all. We often vacation at Hotel Xcaret Arte in Riviera Maya, and we can't help but compare other all-inclusives to Xcaret. We were in town looking for amazing food, and Dal Toro exceeded our expectations! The host, Juan Carlos, was friendly from start to finish! He took pictures of me and my wife before he knew we were coming to dine at his restaurant. He suggested wonderful cocktails and delicious food. When the food arrived, the presentation was great, and the taste was amazing! We didn't need to add any salt or pepper to our meals, and the cocktail quality was also excellent.

My wife ordered the vermicelli with shrimp tossed with capers, garlic, and spinach, and I ordered the fried seafood platter. Everything was delicious. We sat near the edge, so we got splashed a couple of times, but we didn't mind. We were able to see fish, eels, and crabs in the shallow water by the rocks. The oceanfront view provided an excellent ambiance for romance and helped create a wonderful dining experience! We recommend Dal Toro to anyone looking for delicious food and a wonderful setting! Thank you...

Good views, and the food and drinks were great.

However, extremely shameful business management practices: the server made an innocent mistake and ran our company card for double the amount of our meals. In any other restaurant this shouldn't have been an issue, just cancel the transaction or issue a refund and run it for the correct price. Instead we got a complete run around about a 'boss' not being present to do anything, and that he couldn't be reached, then after 20 minutes of not reaching an acceptable solution with the restaurant trying to get us to come back the next day, the boss was suddenly available by phone. He refused to cancel the transaction, and merely had a letter written to explain to our company why we drastically overpaid for a business dinner. All told, we spent over an hour after paying trying to resolve the restaurant's mistake.

If everything goes smoothly for you here, you'll have a good time. If not, God help you, because the management here surely won't. I've returned one star to what was originally going to be a 1 star review, because they finally offered to provide a free round of drinks (only after we pressed them on some type of...

Every person on social media said this is the place to go! So I made a reservation 8 weeks in advance for a table by the water. When we got there, they didn’t have my reservation, even though I showed them my email confirmation. They went to seat us, and I asked for by the water. She said it was only for people with a reservation (which we had just gone over). She asked the manager and then led us to a tiny table in the back corner where the chair can’t be pulled out because of a large pole. The table was soaking wet and the waves were crashing over the rocks and spraying on us and the table. Soooo we asked to switch to an internal table. The food was ok. The bruschetta was just sliced tomatoes in bread with melted cheese on top. My husband had the tuna steak which he liked and I had the steak with mushroom sauce which was supposed to be well cooked but was so thick it was rare. Service was slow and inattentive. We’re easy going so it was fine. I would still probably go back, but I definitely expected better after the rave reviews.
